Robbie Deans and Co. taught a lesson today.

Good performance from the AB's.

So please leave then the grownups with grey mater can discuss what went wrong . We know, Deans pulled a wet potato sack over PDV's eyes. There is just no comparison or competition. We saw last week in the second half and with all the changes he made what a clever, intelegent rugby pro with quality rugby knowledge can do, IN ONE WEEK and the result you witnessed today (I hope). PDV is a dumb Fsuck he did not see it coming and the Aussies had him by the balls today all the way. Deans knew what to do and he did it well.

just have to stir a bit... too quiet in here :D
<stir>
So what do we say about Deans now? Or is Graham Henry now the best coach in the world??

How anyone could think the aussies had a chance today is beyond me, they are really poor. The scrums today  horrible to watch such shocking stuff. I also don't think robbie deans beating SA once in 3 matches does not make him a better coach :D. Damn 5 loses out of 6 for the aussies is shocking in my opinion granted he does not have much to work with at the moment. You cannot really blame deans because he does not have very much talent on the park in my opinion.

Its what and HOW Deans achieved the won that counts, In one week he went from a weak losing team to one that THRASHED the champs. NOT by fluke but by introducing the changes required to make it happen.

The fact is technically PDV is out of his league, but you wont understand that would you.

Deans saw it and made the changes required to give us a thrashing. Now who was the best coach then?

Deans has started something and I'm sure he intends to finish it.

:D

It just opened a huge can of worms isnt it?

Well Henry made 5 changes for the better it seems so he remains the best coach in the world again, They won the most Tri-Nations. Today the Aussie team was weak, realy weak today and that is the same team? I repeat EXACT SAME, team that beat us WELL and scrummed us in the ground? so the question begs, was that possible that, that was the same team that gave us such a beating? YES IT WAS! So now then, where do we stand, will we stand a chance against this current selected AB team? We will just have to wait for the next round to confirm. Maybe just Maybe by then the real coach would be back, but I doubt it.

LOL... good sport pal ;)

Stand a chance? the all blacks had 3 games against us, lost all of them.

I think we settled who the best is and best coach. :D we pomp and so does PVD.

Just like anyone who still favours ruan over morne is being silly anyone who still thinks pvd is poor is also being silly :D.

I can't believe some people are still actually questioning our ability to beat the All Blacks!!!

Ha ha of course I agree with you totally on the latter as we have just had a trinations to prove this but unfortunately when it comes to the former we'll never get the opportunity to see both of them play in the identical game against the same opposition, with exactly the same team, in the same conditions, to prove that conclusively...

Maybe not but you cannot disagree that morne took his chance far better than ruan did.

So here is our Team of the Tournament for Tri-Nations 2009:

15 - Frans Steyn (South Africa):
He may not be the universal choice and consistency may always be a problem. But he will be missed by the Boks next year and those penalties in Hamilton might have changed the face of goal-kicking forever!

14 - Sitiveni Sivivatu (New Zealand):
There has been no clear stand-out player in this position, probably one of the 'weaknesses' in our team. Sivivatu won by majority vote.

13 - Jaque Fourie (South Africa):
Again, not a unanimous decision, but his defensive organisation and combination with fellow Bok Jean de Villiers made this one of the most consistent and potent midfield combinations in the competitions - if not in the world at present.

12 - Jean de Villiers (South Africa):
Another player who will be missed by the Boks when he is gone. Berrick Barnes deserves an honourable mention for his performances in a limited Wallaby team. Ma'a Nonu also had his moments.

11 - Bryan Habana (South Africa):
Was there ever any doubt. Every bit the player he was at the 2007 World Cup and then some.

10 - Morné Steyn (South Africa):
This is probably the most contentious position of them all. Dan Carter came into the picture very late and Matt Giteau's inconsistency in this tournament was perfectly illustrated in the last Test against New Zealand. They are both class players, but the past two-and-half months Steyn was the most consistent performer.

9 - Fourie du Preez (South Africa):
Very few can argue with the statement that he is the standout player in world rugby at present.

8 - Pierre Spies (South Africa):
He has come on in leaps and bounds this year and may well develop into the next big star on the world stage.

7 - Richie McCaw (New Zealand):
He may have struggled with his form at times, but he remains one of the world's premier openside flanks.

6 - Heinrich Brüssow (South Africa):
There is nothing wrong with two openside flanks in one team and Brüssow has been a special find this year.

5 - Victor Matfield (South Africa):
No argument here. Without peer as a line-out master and the rest of his game is also right up there with the very best.

4 - Bakkies Botha (South Africa):
Also a unanimous decision. Probably the most underrated cog of the Bok machine.

3 - John Smit (South Africa):
He still has his detractors as a tighthead prop, but without doubt the most outstanding leader in world rugby at present. And when it comes to scrumming, show us a tighthead who hasn't had question marks over his scrumming at one stage or another.

2 - Bismarck du Plessis (South Africa):
He has grown in stature this year and his physical presence is complimenting Botha perfectly at present.

1 - Tony Woodcock (New Zealand):
There are those who have hailed Benn Robinson as the next best thing, and while referees allowed him to get away with dubious tactics he will be effective. But when match officials, who actually know something about scrumming, are in charge he looks a pretty ordinary player - as he did on occasion in the tournament. Woodcock sealed the deal for us with his performance in the last Test of the series.

Who would be in your 15?

I would actually agree 100% with that line-up. And yes, Fourie du Preez is my player of the tournament, followed by Morné Steyn.

Nonu!!!!!!!!! man that oke is amazing.

He was great at breaking the advantage line ... in fact I would be tempted to slot him instead of Jean at 12 but for the fact that he tends to the lose the ball in the tackle.
