Ok then. Use Morné for his kicking abilities, and Bakkies for the tackles.

why are you getting yourself so worked up Lance?

Milo, stop worrying about me. You worry about your own posts. If I feel passionate about something then it is up to me whether to post about it or not.
I was actually hoping for an intelligent conversation with BLIXEMPIE but it seems that will be unlikely. Obviously too many brandy and cokes during the game.
Yip, there you go... you see this is the biggest problem with most Bulls supporters... they have very little realisation that rugby is a team sport.
Because he is more suited to inside centre with his play ...... he's not a specialist flyhalf anyway, didn't he play IC this year even.
Well, I support the Sharks, and I am bloody glad Steyn played instead of old.. er... whatsisname on the bench LOL!

He won't be happy until Morne Steyn isn't part of the Springbok squad (to be replaced by *gasp* a Sharks player no doubt), in spite of him having the best performance by a Springbok flyhalf in the Tri-Nations since 1997. Pity...
Guess there's no helping some people![]()
He used to play the occasional game at inside centre at the Bulls when no suitable player was available on the bench. Not sure I'd want him defending the centre channel with his dodgy tackling...
Techie you guys are delusional! He scored the most points by a Springbok in a tri-nations match. Does this automatically equate to best performance ever? No!
If you bothered keeping track of this discussion from it's beginning you would notice that nothing much has changed from my side after today's game. I have happily conceded that Steyn is brilliant at goal kicking. And that is what he showed today. But I have questioned his other skills. The rain meant the ball hardly ever got to the wings today so no distribution skills were on show. Further to this the All Blacks were appalling on attack so his defensive vulnerabilities were not shown up.
Yes, he kicks well. I want to see him tested on the backfoot....

It was a great game. Now lets see the Blue Bull supporters say that Peter de Villiers is am excellent coach.
Come now Lancelot, nobody can deny Steyn has a good game.
Who scored the try? maybe some did not notice. Morne' played a Brilliant game, was everywhere. Defended well together with many of his team mates, therefore the All Bolocks game was reduced to be akin to a schoolboy rugby match.
EDIT : Oh and I do not doubt that you'll come up with some psychological mumble jumble for these comments I have made to you....
So what we do then: Ruan is a playmaker of note but a dodgy kicker and Steyn is a kicker of note but a dodgy playmaker.
