Yup, NZ were complaining about our boring, winning, kicking game.

They're now bringing in Carter so that they can play a boring, winning, kicking game.
They will no doubt call it thrilling AB rugby.

Of course it is like i said they only moan when they are not winning.
You can see how much the kicking game i needed and i think the all blacks have seen their running game just does not cut it.

Although you are mistaken in one thing, they are not bringing carter in, he has been out injured so he is coming back into the side. He never got dropped from the team.

:)
Never gonna drop him, probably bringing him in a bit early though.

That running game they played here in the last test was pretty stupid, they'd sukkel to beat Italy like that.

I have said this before: As long as we keep on winning, I don't care how we win or how we play!

In Test Rugby it is the result that counts. In the future when we reflect on the 2009 season it will be whether we won the Tri-Nations or not and not how we won it.

+1 Winning isn't everything, it is the only thing.

Lol, sooo true.

+1 Funny how most "important rugby folk" in NZ said Carter wont be ready till end of the year and that the have enough choice on flyhalf in NZ ..... Now those same guys are telling us Carter is 100% fit and he wants to join the team ...

ROFL :D

The Nzers need carter back badly, carter is like morne steyn, just adds so much more to the team than running.

Ha ha ha ha now we have Morne being compared to Dan! ha ha I think those sort of comparisons are VERY premature... and unless Morne adds a lot more arrows to his quiver I think they'll never be able to be made.

Gotta love the Aussie and Kiwi media for their backhanded compliments usually beginning along the lines of "the Boks are the best in the world right now but...".

...Found this article : http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/international/2747858/Jake-White-wants-Boks-to-be-more-expansive...[/i]

I hate the fact that the IRB are trying to change the game. One of the things I enjoy about any team sport is that there are many strategies to win and it's fun to see teams develop counter strategies. Leave rugby alone I ssy - If you want purely running rugby go watch Sevens.

Well, he's the best flyhalf in the world this year.

Carter is not. ;)

Shame lance, must suck to hate SA so much.

Morne is about the best fly half this year, so yea comparing him to carter is perfect because as the all blacks have found you need more than running to win games and carter is more than running just like morne.

Do tell how they are not similiar?

Both are more the kicking tyoe of flyhalf, both can send their backlines away, both are good enough in their respective channels defensively.

Not saying Steyn will always play this well but if he does I think its more than fair to compare the two (well on current form it is anyway).

I agree with Lance, it's a bit premature to start comparing Morne with the games greats.

Yes he's had an impressive season but let him do it for another 6 or 7 seasons then we can compare him to Carter, Botha, Ella, Fox etc etc

Compared to them he's done squat, let's be honest...

But seeing as we are comparing them, Carter can run angles Morne can only dream of, let's be honest...

Well we will see, 3 away games FTW. I hope we win all 3, has any team ever won all of their games in the tri nations?

You did not watch most of the S14 did you? His feet did not seem to have any problems with any angles there ;)

Ps also comparing Steyn to Carter atm is fair, same type of game.

But Calling Steyn a legend is imo a bit premature.

hehehe

Wallabies sweat over ref

Sydney - Hooker Stephen Moore admits the Wallabies are sweating on South African referee Jonathan Kaplan to give Australia's oft-maligned scrum a fair go in Saturday's Tri-Nations and Bledisloe Cup clash with the All Blacks.

Kaplan's countryman caned the Wallabies, and in particular veteran tighthead Al Baxter, in last month's 22-16 loss to the All Blacks in Auckland, with three second-half scrum penalties totalling nine points ultimately costing Australia victory.

Under Irish referee Alain Rolland, the Wallabies had no such problems in Cape Town two weeks ago and actually dominated the Springboks scrum despite suffering a 29-17 defeat.

A diplomatic Moore on Thursday said the Wallabies were hoping for similar treatment from Kaplan, who has a history of causing heartache for Australia.

"I think he's an excellent referee of the scrum so I'm sure he'll make the right calls out there on the field," Moore said.
