An HD sports channel launching by December and 2 or 3 more HD channels by March next year ......... yes it's pricy and yes the PVR has it's issues now and then but it's just so worthwhile ;)
+1 :D The decoder is such a niggly piece of S h i t, seriously it is but with every firmware release the bugs become less and less. It's quite evident that Multi choice rushed the PVR in time for the Olympics.

Also the installation can get quite pricey when you using the PVR in conjunction with other hardware like the SD PVR. In fact it cost me R2.8k just to install the blimming thing, that excludes the R3.5k cost of the decoder!!!

And it didn't end there for me. Once you got the HD PVR and you see the potential one's compelled to get a new plasma which is what I did, replaced my 3 year old 42" Pvision with a 50" Sammy.... Very sweet... But this year I've spent big loot!!!

Having said that though it's bloody marvelous!!! As I said, every blade of grass!!! :)

I can imagine - watching sport in HD must be mind blowinginly uber awesome
I take it you're a big soccer fan? Soccer is brilliant. I been watching EPL and it's mind blowingly good. The sound the picture, fantastic!!! When the English crowds start singing, hell man sweeeeet..... :D

Umm. has anyone read the topic which is about the Tri-Nations - not your TV?

SA got thrashed last Saturday. I put it down to the last five percent and that's the bit in the head. They hit us harder and faster, never gave up and we didn't respond with intelligence. SA are still not a very clever team. We just couldn't adapt and I never saw a Plan B. We also really need to pick proper props in their positions instead of recycling hookers. I really believe in Smit and believe he's the right person for the captaincy, but I believe he must play in his position which is hooker. Pienaar was never regarded as the best flanker either, but the measure of the man is his influence on others - that's called leadership.

Tomorrow's a different game and it's rare in any Tri-Nations for a team to be in such a dominant position. I hope SA can lift themselves for this big test. Until then I'm undecided whether we have a decent coach or a group of senior players running the show, or a combination thereof. I'd like the C option.

I have my doubts about the coach who still seems to have foot-in-
the-mouth disease, despite what I think are probably the best handlers they can get.

I reckon I'm with Jake White on the result of tomorrow's game. It will be close, but NZ won't be able to win it by more than seven points. No predictions from my side. NZ will be ring-rusty while SA will be ring-worn.

Teams for the match: Looks good for us but I am a bit worried about Dan Carter upsetting the cards. This team look a bit better than the other two games we won. I still believe we can do it if we play to disrupt their "structured machine"

Well unless you plan on listening to the game on the radio, tv's as much a part of tri-nations as a rotor blade is to a helicopter... :p

Did you read the thread topic? If I'm in the wrong place then I'll go away and not bother again. As far as I'm concerned Tri-Nations is about rugby - the game played with oval balls - not round ones. It also doesn't involve the quality of your TV.

Hey, there must be at least four New Zealanders, or other non SA supporters, on this forum if the poll results are anything to go by ;)

Surely no self respecting South African would ever publicly admit that they think NZ would win the trinations :)

GO BOKKE!

Fully agree with you. If you want to support another country, pack your bags and go live there. Then support them.
