Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Is anyone aware of any undersea cable breaks that are affecting ISP's including VOX? My internet is crawling so I contacted VOX and they told me over the phone that there are multiple cable breaks on EASSy and SAT3 causing congestion on the WACS cable system.

The thing is, I can't find reports of any of these cables suggesting they are down...in fact the status is Operational.
Is VOX lying to me or am I missing something?

I have a small 20gb account with infogro and not having any problems at all with it. Not sure what cable system they use.

As I understand it, there is a problem with sending a signal from the server side. This is not a very pleasant situation and a possible reason for losing online.

Been trying for over a month to get DSL "installed"
In a town that has no other options
The house already has a line installed used to use telkom, however no matter what we do and who we speak to we get told there is no DSL or copper in town
Yet we physically have it and my neibords (line coming from same pole) is on vox

@AfriNatic - he will sort you out. Helped me to get PureDSL installed, up and running with great service offering me uncapped, unshaped, unthrottled internet with NO FUP where Vox and Axxess told me there are no coverage.

The whole area is down on DSL and Fibre on Openserve.

I have been experiencing extremely slow response times from Vox's DNS server, going to most websites the page first shows a DNS error, then after a few seconds the page would load. I changed the DNS to google's server and it works as it should. Is there any known problems with Vox's server?

I've been without my dsl connection for 2 days now. I tried to phone Telkom on 10210,but when I submit my service number Telkom says my account has been suspended due to non-payment which I paid on the 30th of August. Now I have to go the weekend without internet. That sucks.

Jeez but their support is either useless or freakin slow, 30+ minutes and told we looking at your account.

It's a simple query.
Gripe is them not updating you on what they are doing, I dont even know if I'm still connected.
Jeez...simple please hold we looking at this/that.
