Official Vox DSL feedback thread

How odd! Twitter.com is now completely blank. Traces are normal(ish) and happens on two browsers.

Twitter down

Twitter is experiencing downtime, with people trying to access the service met with a blank page.
By Staff Writer - November 19, 2015 19 Comments

Twitter is experiencing downtime, which started shortly before 12:00 CAT on 19 November.

Users trying to access the service through their browser were met with a blank page.

Many people have reported that their Twitter applications are still functional. However, some parts of the Twitter API also seem to be down.

Twitter’s status page did not provide details about the outage at the time of publication.

Voxy - If I move my ADSL line over to VOX, is there some form of wait period or downtime of any kind?

Hi Electric

Should take about 5 to 7 work days to get up and running. PM me your details and I'll get one of our sales consultants to contact you.

Not according to your support staff.
I've already been e-mailed various forms, the guy said I will have no down time what so ever.
Thanks for responding here anyway.

Hey Voxy

I seem to be experiencing the same thing as cobusv, lots of packet loss and high latency to American sites / streaming. Other sites seem to be fine though.

Location: Cape Town

Hi freeek. Could I ask you to send me a trace?

There shouldn't be downtime at all o_O I've moved my line many times before and had no down time ever.

Granted it's not with Vox now, but still...I'm sure the same procedures apply.

There was a point that Telkom mentioned actual downtime as you were placed in a holding pool.

Hi Voxy, Your website shows that the uncapped bolt on will be discontinued from 30 November. How will it affect current users.
Will the hours still be from 6pm to 60am, and whole weekend?

https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/uncapped-bolton

From the website:

This will not affect existing customers who are subscribed to the product, or who enjoy the product as a bolted on Value Added Service. All Fat Pipe ADSL products include FREE data between Midnight & 06:00 every day of the week, at no additional charge. In addition to this, unused data can be accumulated to a maximum of 6 x the subscribed data quota, and will never expire.

Hey cvanwie! Before you leave Vox won't you do us all a favor and implement a "linking" option for the Fatpipe and Fatpipe lite+ uncapped bolt on. :D

Something whereby:

If customer has Fatpipe AND Fatpipe lite + uncapped bolt-on, then link the uncapped bolt-on to one username so we don't have to keep switching out accounts on the weekend :D

I don't see that happening, a lot of work for such a small percentage of users, but who knows.

Haha yeah, we can dream though, right :)

hahah worth a try!

I couldn't help it.. ;)

The Fatpipe with zero rate is a great product, but ... those people who have Fatpipe + Bolton have an amazing product!

(stirring the pot)

Maybe if the product manager (who lurks here) saw how much interest there was in the Fatpipe + Bolton ... he might consider selling at a premium ... I have made it a lot easy to sell before I leave...

Sorry J, I couldn't help it.
