Official Vox DSL feedback thread

So humour me, and tell me what exactly is your definition from basic troubleshooting?

Let's start with where I have been for the last 4 weeks, not just now, unable to connect to VDSL and only ADSL. Let me guess, you are going to tell me it is the same thing.

Could you check your modem settings, which model do you have?

Go on the modem and look for settings called 802.1P and 802.1Q, you might have to run the setup. 802.1P must be 0, 802.1Q must be 835 and enable VLAN.

I am not talking about the current status. This have been sorted out now after 4 weeks. Without any help from VOX.

It is working now, thanks to the support from the Telkom technician.

I have a ZyXel VDSL router. On the xDSL statistics, it reports the following:

VDSL Training Status: Showtime
Mode: VDSL2 Annex B
VDSL Profile: Profile 17a
G.Vector: Enable
Traffic Type: PTM Mode
Link Uptime: 0 day: 2 hours: 5 minutes

Up to yesterday the mode was ADSL2. Queried Vox on numerous times in the last month as to why I am not connecting on VDSL and they insisted that I am on VDSL.
How would you have gone about troubleshooting and resolving the issue?

So does your internet now work or not?

Do you pay Vox for the line rental or Telkom?

I'm not trying to defend anyone here, I'm trying to help you get online.

Not able to authenticate.. Backup account from other ISP working fine..

I would suggest getting the Vox Mobile Application on your phone.
You can check any outages ongoing with the impact and the current status.

So I downloaded the app to my phone. I tried to login with the app but keeps on getting message "Cannot login now. Please try again later"

Seems like nothing is working.
 
Looks like the issue is still not resolved. Worked for a while last night but this morning my adsl is dead again. Getting authentication error message.
 
Vox Telecom Notice: ADSL and Email Authentication issues. customers may experience problems with authentication failures.
