Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Hi voxy, unlocator and unblock-us , I've since tested the DNS theory but it's not the DNS. It's not the tv as the tv speed test returns 39.6mb/s

Hi tkburn

You are not blocked by us. I will investigate the matter further.

Are you planning on replying to us regarding the broken promise (well actually the disregard of the terms and conditions) regarding the prices changing on supposed fixed price promotional accounts?

Yes I also got an email about price changes. Can I get an actual amount that it is going up by? In email it states in all cases increase limited to 3.9%

So is the bolt on going up by 1%,2% ,3.9%?

I guess as long as the bolt on bundle continues I am happy to pay a bit more for it.

Same here they just state some products may increase by as much as 3.9% but don't mention which ones

^^^ this. You promoted it as a fixed price contract, should be legally binding if I'm not mistaken.

How is the streaming issues on Vox fatpipe? has anything changed? Running on my TI backup account and all is good.

Haven't had much issues streaming Netflix SA using Apple TV does sometimes struggle to load and quality drops intermittently but more Line than VOX related I would think.

Good morning

Where did this message display? Did you receive an sms or email.

Did you lose connectivity as well?

I am not aware of any global issue that would have caused this.

Please pm me your info as well as the engineer you were in contact with so I can have a look.

Voxy

Not sure what you mean by "loss of connectivity". However the Vox Portal was accessible so I suppose the answer to that is no.

I did not take the call centre operator's name down. I will pm you the account details and the time of the call.

Hi Duckie

I am looking at this for you. Very strange that you would be routed to this portal.

Anyone having problems with international traffic? I'm in Durban and can only access local. Tried different DNS 's.

Internet is dead on my side in Durban. Barely usable at all. It's been like this for 20 mins now.

Changed to Google DNS and speeds have improved again.

Something is wonky with the Vox fatpipe tonight (in Durban):

First tracert is using my Vox account, second is using my Webafrica:

Same here. Just rebooted router with another ISP account and latency dropped down to about 50ms (I had very similar results as above). Have seen some intermittent instability over the past couple of days in Durban, but today was quite bad.

Streaming from Amazon and getting an unusable 30KBs on VOX.
Switch to Telkom Internet and it is up to 300KBs.

This is from Cape Town. Looks like the local routing tables are messed up "again"
