Official Vox DSL feedback thread

I have zero of the issues you mentioned.

When I had the free Samsung 1TB I got capped on the first of the month at midnight but it was fixed by the time I woke up, this has never happened on my normal Fat Pipe.

Maybe it was an issue with FP + BO? - as apparently that product was a mistake and shouldn't have existed?

Anyway, I have more faith in IS's network than Vox, AH, Mweb, or whoever's left over.

I'll maybe try TI, but unfortunately, I have to phone them to apply, and that's never going to happen...

Netflix USA crappy again tonight

waiting 2 weeks for Voxy to call and test

I have been having netflix and hulu issues for the last 2 weeks as well ,netflix very slow to reach 1080p/4k whereas it used to jump to 1080p immeidatley and hulu just plays the ads videos are unable to play, although only through my lg smart tv . Streaming to the pc/laptop speeds are perfect.

Im starting to think it may be my DNS service and not VOX. I know its not my tv as I can still stream 4k youtube content on th tv.

Can you please explain why the "Data Bundle Limit Exceeded" event occurs on accounts with 80GB+ available data. Your call centre operators tell me that this happens but no-one knows why, and that it happens all the time.

I find it quite disturbing that Vox can run a network with these frequent errors but not understand what is going on.

And frankly, telling me to turn off the router for 30 minutes and then the problem will be fixed is not really a solution. There was some talk of recreating the port which would clear "everything" (whatever that might be) but seeing that Vox do not manage the line I'm not sure I understand how they will do that.

Thanks

Good morning

Where did this message display? Did you receive an sms or email.

Did you lose connectivity as well?

I am not aware of any global issue that would have caused this.

Please pm me your info as well as the engineer you were in contact with so I can have a look.

Voxy

Hi

Ok so the issue seems to have resolved itself, I had no response from Voxy so I don't know if you guys did anything but either way my internet has been running fine since Thursday.

Hi voxy, unlocator and unblock-us , I've since tested the DNS theory but it's not the DNS. It's not the tv as the tv speed test returns 39.6mb/s

Dear Customer,

We regret to inform you that due to significant inflation in critical input costs, an increase in fees applicable to your services has unfortunately become unavoidable.

However, as a result of our ongoing cost efficiency initiatives, the increase in fees will in all instances be limited to 3.9%. This increase will be effective from 1 April 2016.

Great. This better be a april fools announcement.

Dear Vox,

We regret to inform you that due to significant decrease in actual throughput of our lines, an increase in fees is inappropriate to your services and actively seeking an ISP that has sufficient capacity in the Western Cape has unfortunately become unavoidable.

Unless it it is an April Fools joke and hence the date, but it probably isn't a joke and neither are the decreased service levels in the western cape.
