I was just informed by Sherwin Roman that VOX dropped previous carry over data on the latest round of upgrades?

Anyone with similar experience?

Nope. Still have all my data from carry over. I did notice that when the switch initially happened, that my package said its been increased (400gb -> 500gb) but it only showed the old package bandwidth (400gb available). This got sorted in a day or two by itself.

Streaming has been pretty hit or miss this weekend , normally its consistent, anybody else ?

Yes my streaming was so bad I had to buy Afrihost data to keep my weekend chilled.
I have mentioned my bad experience a few days ago already but seems Voxy is not going to do anything about it, I have also sent a PM and phoned their support line which told me there was nothing wrong...

So I will speak with my wallet and go to another ISP... not sure who though...

Edit:

I see they say some issues on the WACS but my problem was before this announcement, because when I phoned their support on Friday there was nothing wrong according to them...

Vox Telecom International Transit Provider experienced a challenge on the transmission network, and they are currently attending.
Vox Telecom is currently running over a secondary medium and customers may experience intermittent high latency while the upstream provider technical team is attending.

We are in constant communication with the International Transit Provider to resolve the disruption with urgency.

Progress/Network Notices

Thanks for the notice Voxy.

Two questions:
1) Has there been any progress made on the issue?
2) Is there a network notice page for these sorts of notices? Couldn't find one on the Vox website so it would seem that the only way for customers to hear about these issues is if they monitor MyBB. Please let us know if that's the case, and if there are any plans to change it.

Cheers

Is there anywhere on the VOX site where we can see network status?

I looked, but could not find.

No internet access. Just me?

Have had Vox access without any breaks whatsoever. The only thing I find regularly is that YouTube clips don't progress along the bar as quickly as they used to. That might have something to do with the latency mentioned above and/or that ASSIA story, whereby Telkom are managing my line a bit too much ? .. or it could be Vox managing their data ?

Getting very slow streaming in evenings. lots of buffering on Hulu
International Ookla 345 ping; 4.37 down; 031 UP
local 58 ping 8.6 Down; and .37 UP

why the large difference?

When I switch to alternate account INT ping improves as does speed and no bufferring. Is VOX oversubscribed and congested or is there something else I need look at?

Yeah I had some bad gaming lag over the weekend also. Eventually switched to backup Afrihost account. Hope it is not a sign of things to come.

I have a 100gb fat pipe bundle.

Just found that the portal.vox.co.za shows different usage percentage as compare the vox app on iPhone.

The vox iPhone app includes the zero-rated data usage in the data usage percentage calculation. Thus showing a higher percentage of data usage.

While portal.vox.co.za does not factor the zero rated usage into the data usage percentage.

Anyone else notice this?

Edit :
This was logged with support. The engineer undertook to investigate.
I got a call today - 4july
Vox acknowledges
1. That the iPhone app includes zero rated data in the percentage used calculation.
2. That the calculation is correct
3. That they are unwilling to correct the iPhone app.
4. To take the matter back to a supervisor.

I love Vox, but their user portal REALLY needs an update. Make it be more like AfriHost.

Just check Data allocation on 01july2016.

On 28May 2016, I bought 40gb of topup data. A portion of this was used in May16, then June16.

This morning on 01 July 2016, when I login to check my balances, my new 100gb has been allocated.
But , the complaint, is the remainder of the 40gb topup data has disappeared. I was expecting the remainder to roll over into July2016.

Why would this happen?

Edit:
04 July- this corrected itself
