Changing to a different ISP is almost the same as a port reset, maybe that is all that you needed. Every now and again I need to phone Vox for a port reset, and then everything is back to normal.
Yes all true, but my method to the madness was like follow:
1. Reset router with Vox account details.
2. Try watching Showmax after reset with Vox. Buffering every 30 seconds.
3. Changed account details on router to Telkom and watch Showmax seamlessly.
4. Change to Vox again and then Showmax buffers again.
5. Reset router a second time and try to watch Showmax again with Vox but the buffering still happened.
6. Changed back to Telkom and it is back to normal.
So after the above mentioned steps I came to the conclusion that Vox was the root cause for buffering.
Let's hope it is fixed by tonight otherwise I'll contact their support team.
