Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Contact Vox from their website.

The problem is that I've been given 2 different answers from Vox so I'm really interested to see if Dade can get anywhere with this.

The web site says R5 per GB for Fatpipe (non-Lite) topups but doesn't give a price for Fatpipe Lite topups and on Vox chat I've been told it's R10 per GB for Fatpipe Lite but then also told on a later enquiry that they think it's the same as for full Fatpipe, i.e. R5 per GB. I still have no idea which figure is correct.

As someone considering signing up as a new customer it's pretty frustrating to not have the pricing clearly stated on the web site. The web page (https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/fat-pipe-lite) mentions top-ups (twice) but is silent about the price.

I note also that the web page has conflicting information about how long topups are valid for. It says both...

valid until the end of the following month

and

remains valid for 60 days

Those are not the same thing. Which is it?

I've escalated this to the product management team to resolve. Horrible communication on the site indeed.

RT working fine on Axxess, but not Vox. Streaming is poor.

Is that trace from 12pm today, or from Tuesday night? If it's from Tuesday night, I can understand why, but if from today... That is very concerning.

if it's now, may we TeamViewer in and perform a few tests?

It is R5 a gig for normal fatpipe and R10 a gig for fatpipe lite. That's what I paid yesterday for both accounts.

Thanks Chris.

Thanks juBa. That sounds pretty definitive given that you've just done a purchase of both.

Question answered I think but the Vox web site really should be clearer on this point especially given it does quote the R5/GB Fatpipe price and it wouldn't be entirely unreasonable for people to assume that the Fatpipe Lite price was the same when in fact it's twice the price.

Agreed and it should be tomorrow.

Product Management told me the following:

* Fatpipe topup is R5/GB
* Fatpipe Lite topup is R10/GB
* Fatpipe Lite topups expire the following end of month. It's a maximum of 60 days; if bought on first day of current month, then removed the end of the next month. This could be misleading. He's going to find better terminology.

Doubtful.

Why not? I actually just finished setting up my new account only to find you dont have one. I didn’t expect that and frankly a bit annoyed with myself for not noticing. I will probably jump ship again after figuring that out.

Gaming on a local server last night was rubbish.

The ping was steady and normal but speed looked rate limited.

Unbelievable.

It's looking like a routing issue. Look at the Axxess one to Cape Town.

Not having any problems here in Cape Town, and I was one of the worst affected by the latency issues.

Since the fix: full-line speed, < 200ms pings to Europe, smooth-like-butter-interwebs.

Sorry to hear about your ongoing problems. Don't you think, though, that as you are one of a very small handful of people experiencing problems, there may be a more localized source to your problem?

Hi, I'm new to Vox and have a question.
I have a R189 Fatpipe 75 Gig capped account which I purchased on the 27th October.
My question is how does the 'rollover' work ?
As for the 4 days (27-31) I had approx 9 gigs and only used 3 gigs, does the remaining 6 gigs not rollover and make this month 81 odd gigs or did I read the whole thing wrong ?
