Official Vox DSL feedback thread

When moving from Fat pipe to Fat pipe Lite + Bolt-on, will I be given a new ADSL username?

I already selected a downgrade from Fatpipe 75gb to Fatpipe Lite 25gb in the Control Panel. You think I'll be charged twice for Fatpipe Lite?

Not sure, but if you chose to downgrade you shouldn't be charged twice. Maybe send an email to support to confirm.

I was looking at the new updated usage tracker console site and I see that in the usage logs tab an IP address is listed for each of my sessions. This same IP address is listed for all my sessions going back to when i started with VOX 3 months ago and to my knowledge has never actually been my IP address. I'm usually assigned an IP in the 197.* range and this IP is in the 196.* range. What is the significance of this IP and if it isn't the IP that i'm assigned, why is it displayed for my sessions?

You should only be in the 197.245 range ... Please send me detail to my inbox.

Interesting also noticed my session logs are on a 196.XX.XX.XX Range..

Hi Guys,

Quick question:

I’m in no way technically inclined on this matter, but I make do. I’m using Glasswire to monitor data usage and I’ve joined Vox recently. I’ve noticed that Glasswire would say I’ve used 10 GB, but Vox would say I’ve used, for example, 11.5 GB. I noticed the same thing a while back with Netlimiter and Afrihost – also about a 14% difference.

So, is this 14% loss as a result of “packet loss” – in that data have to be resent and therefore adds to data usage from an ISPs point of view?
Or is Glasswire / Netlimiter not accurate enough to measure the data usage?
Or am I losing data somewhere?

It can be via the router and other connected devices, but they cannot account for 10 GB of data over the last 3 days.
Doubt whether it’s the neighbours – I’m pretty sure the wifi is secure atm.

Glasswire monitors the server it is on, so it will log usage on the internal network (LAN) as well as the internet (WAN), I presume. So the difference will be the internal network traffic (machine to machine)...

Glasswire shows local and external data usage. I'm talking about the external data not matching up with the ISP.

Strangely the local data is a bout 10 GB - being mostly PLEX - and that's about what I'm missing on the ISP's control panel - it might just be a coincidence though.
