Official Vox DSL feedback thread

I can't even stream Youtube Live at 360P but my speed test says 10MBs, is this realy unshaped?
And don't tell me the Google servers are overloaded.
 
Can hardly do anything with Vox since yesterday (still so today). Currently using Afrihost free 1GB account to post this.
 
Also did that. Had major DNS issues. Changed to Google. did a DNS flush, all seems ok now.
 
I am having the same issue again tonight. Had it last night. Vox was my go to after Afrihost started sucking, and now two nights in a row DNS issues and insane latency loading pages. Dufuq...
 
I'm just going to keep Google's DNS servers in my modem until one I remember to change it back, I'm perfectly happy.
 
Yeah I have changed my router to Google DNS and all the issues have literally vanished. Come on VOX sort out the DNS issue.
 
I called them about the DNS issue, I sent them mails, posted it on their FB page, even posted it on FB with a link back to this thread. They just keep on saying there is no issue or that the issue is resolved. Typical Afrihost mentality from 3 years ago, refusing to acknowledge there is a problem and to fix it. I am seriously considering ditching this 3 year account, I can't keep on adding google DNS addresses to every device that joins my network at home when I have friends over, and I refuse to override the DNS address on the router, I am supposed to be getting a service that I am paying for, not supposed to be doing workarounds or hacks. If this is not resolved after the weekend I will find another ISP.

Yes they should fix it and acknowledge it etc but refusing to change the DNS on the router is on you, it takes five seconds and all the issues disappear.

Why do you not want to change the DNS on your router?

same here, I have not been able to stream (reliably) with VOX for nearly 2 weeks now.
Telkom is fine so it is not a line or exchange issue but VOX say it is not on their side and they are not shaping.
 
It honestly feels as though Vox does not have adequate capacity to handle the peak time (18:00 - 00:00) traffic. I was sick last week and streamed during working hours and I was amazed at how much better my connection performance was. As soon as it got to 18:00 it started buffering, I had to drop quality, latency increased. Vox please invest in some additional IPC!
 
Anyone have slow speeds at the moment? Youtube and browsing is really slow.
 
Everything has slowed to a crawl for me. :-(

My music stream @ 120kbps is struggling, and that's on a 20 Mbps VDSL line, vox capped promo account. It's been quite bad today, many sites not opening. Southern cape here.
