Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Good day.

Please can anyone advise me on the following problem.

I recently applied for a adsl uncapped plan with vox telecom, fast forward to the problem.
Vox contacts me and tells me that they are unable to take ownership of the adsl/dsl side of my line because it is active with a dsl service according to they system when they entered my phone number.

Problem is that my line doesn't have dsl service since like 5 - 6 years ago since i canceled my adsl plan with telkom and am not paying for that feature anymore. Vox tells me that, i have to sort out this matter as its my account and they have no authorization to remove a line from a telkom account.

Notes

1. I phoned telkom 10210, they couldn't help me, One agent told me that customers are not allowed to request they line to placed in the holding pool, only isps are allowed to requested that. Another agent even told me that it was just only the voice side of the line that is active.

2. Other agents wasn't sure what to do, so they referred to the new sale, existing sales, technical, billing department.
They couldn't help me either as each department was referring one and other back and forwards

3. I went to the telkom walk in store, They systems were supposedly offline. i asked the agent by the desk to check the system and he tells me that the line is active but can't provide the isp holder of the line.

4. The dsl light on my router successfully synchronizes to the network but no internet light even with a valid dsl login details. According to vox, if the dsl light is solid and not flashing, you have dsl enabled.

5. i visited the following site "https://tlkm.link/cancellations2" filled and submitted my ID. I requested for the cancellation for my dsl service only. They sent out reference numbers and that was it.

This is true. The DSL line is in an active, but suspended state. What to do about it, I'm not sure. Telkom should have removed it from the holding pool years ago.

Morning. If it is in a suspended state, what exactly can I do to remove that state.

I'm getting stonewalled at telkom from the walk in centre to the call center. I honestly don't know what to do now. I'm at the mercy of telkom and as a paying client for years with them this level of service is pathetic.
 
Don't think it's a Vox issue.. No problems at any of my sites today.

Had a similar situation the other day at one, but the next day it was sorted - seemed to be a line/exchange issue.
 
I have pingplotter always running it the background and things just seem very unstable.
Came here from WebAfrica when they were having their issues. Any suggestions for a good capped provider with uncalled night time data for downloads?
 
Haven't been able to authenticate since about 1am this morning. Everything else seems to be working ie landline/phone. Just not able to connect to vox. Cape town
 
I too lost Vox ADSL connectivity sometime during the night. Am in Durban. Authentication failure per my router. Axxess free 1GB account working fine.
