Man now I really wish it wasn't Openserve/Telkom monopolizing my entire suburb :crylaugh:
 
Been having really bad lag for the past two weeks in DOTA2 and BF1. I'm on a 40meg WebAfrica fibre line with a 300Gb business package. I get around 5ms to the DOTA server but it feels like there is packet-loss or something, the character does nothing when I click to move etc... while the game (other characters and such) do not appear to be lagging at all.
 
@FFF - please advise what your network information whilst in game - should be under advance settings - let us know what the packet loss looks like

SEE I AM NOT TO ONLY ONE!!!!!

I made the mistake of mentioning some minor noise on my line and now the ticket is on hold until that is fixed. This is not a noise issue, this is an IS issue and they cant find the problem...

I actually cannot believe that i will be forced to go back to AH(puke)...
 
@Bedford - you mentioned the noise on the line - the tests that came back confirmed the attenuation was higher than the safe noise limit - thus we having it investigated and resolved - this will and can have a direct impact on the service performance
 
Dear Webafrica helper
I logged a ticket today on the site about the capped home packages, the fact it goes from 40 Gigs to 100 gigs, and nothing in the middle. Coming from a 80, then 50 Gig package at Ah, I've left my hosting there and just want adsl with you, however, 40 is too small, and 100 too big.. What are the chances you can create 60 and 80 Gig packages?

There was no response for the entire day today, so Ive replied, assuming that means no! Can you enquire please?

Just to share my experience as of late, been rather disappointing. Been experiencing packet loss in WoW via WebAfrica for over a month now. Switched to my Telkom account and I have no problems.
 
@diegoa - please DM your customer code so we can investigate into the packet loss of your data package
 
WA Fibre with Gaming

Same problem here for over a month. League of Legends though. would play and then get stuck, everyone on my network will get it at the same time. win7, win10 and on macOS. Done all the tests with WA already, still awaiting a "new Router". No clear answer from them and every answer says i must do a speed test, where its not related to the speed at all....
 
@PsychoCJ - concerning the league inquiry - please confirm how many people are on your local network when you are playing and does the same issue occur when you are playing on your own - I assume you have a fibre connection ?

Thanks WebAfrica Helper but it was quicker to get into my car, drive to the shopping centre, go into the shop and wait in the queue to have them assist.

I logged a ticket (5277401) and then sent a reply to it and now have another ticket (5278393) but no response from a hum - just these automated replies.

My 20 meg line is performing like a 1 or 2 meg line. I can't stream on Facebook and browsing is slow; youtube is come and go.

Would you be able to help with this? Thanks so much

I did get a message yesterday afternoon via email saying someone had tried to call me, but there is no record on my cell phone of that, so not believing that one. I gave my number (just in case) and times to call and here we are 24 hours later, and no contact at all. I think I now have about 5 tickets as each time your reply you get a new ticket.

I was DL an update his morning and just managed 1% line speed - this is just one example of things not being what they should.
