OK, time's up, iBurst.......

Time to bump this thread back up as it is almost 1 year later and still no resolution in sight and my complaints are blatantly ignored.

If this is how you handle 10 year-long customers, then I shudder to think what actually goes on at your head office.......

Time to move on dude ... I haven't looked back once ... so many alternatives to chose from now, and so cheap.

If only it was that easy. This ISP wants us to pay in over R4000-00 to cancel our contract (which is NOT reasonable by a long shot as we have been paying our monthly subscriptions every single month in full for a sub-standard service). March 2013 better get here quickly so I can make that nice fire in the backyard and burn this 2Mb modem.

It's around the corner ... get you a R199 8ta 10GB to run side by side in the mean time ... mine is running at 13mbps down, 3mbps up.

I think everyone is having problems with iburst at the moment one retarded service provider is all I can say they been like that for years now, a pity Telkom is even worse taking forever to install my new adsl but i'm praying for that day to come where I do not need to use iburst anymore.

Melanie did organise for some Tech to do a visit, just patiently awaiting his call to make an appointment to pop over to our place.
If the issue cannot be sorted, contract cancellation will happen and we will move on.

Got a call at 17:45 today, transmission specialist will be sent out on Monday or Tuesday next week. I am way too busy tomorrow, so it cannot be done then.

Here's hoping that something will finally be done about the slow speeds that have been a royal pain in my backside for almost a full year.

Bye iBurst. ADSL just got installed.

So the whole day from 9-30am to 3-30pm was taken up by many many many RF scans, tests, Speedtests, 4 or 5 different antennas tried out, the whole shebang.

And still sitting with this:

All we want is this back:

Or iBurst can cancel the contract. We shall see what the report on the matter brings.
Not holding thumbs anyway, so hopefully this contract can kill itself.

Was asked to monitor Speedtest results, so I will just add them here.

First time in months that anything resembling a decent internet connection has finally happened:

2 consecutive tests with exactly the same results.

Still not anywhere close to what we used to get, but it is at least a step foward.
And I could actually watch a 20 minute long Youtube vid at 360p with hardly any buffering issues, so 2 steps foward.

Not bad for 12 months of moaning.

Oh how happy I am to have got rid of iBurst. Retentions phoned me yesterday to ask "why"? I had a lot to say. They said thanks, we parted ways. Next is cancellation of our business iBurst failover...more 'fail' than 'over'. Four accounts chucked so far, and I've only just started our enterprise assessment.

Mildly better, but almost unusable:

News24 takes over a minute to load, Speedtest around 2 minutes, I stopped even trying to e-mail pics to Simon at iBurst.....
Sorry, but you have had a year to sort this out and still no luck.
