I was recently given an old 8ta sim card, as I needed to port to a nano sim (got an Xperia Z3).
I have been lead to believe that the 8ta sims don't work on the LTE network- is this true? I cannot pick up LTE. Or maybe it's just that my phone doesn't support the 2300 band

I have a old 8ta simcard that I use in my LTE mifi and it works fine with LTE. You don't NEED to have a new blue Telkom simcard.

If you are not picking up LTE it means you are not in a LTE covered area or you device does not support Telkom's LTE band.

That's what I was looking for. Thanks

Ever since I upgraded to the blue card noticed a massive improvement on Dow load speeds. The black card probably has outdated information...
