So was doing Nexus HC to farm some badges and make some cash and our tank kept running ahead of the group. Not just me, everyone. We didn't get time to loot, we didn't get time to regenerate mana nothing.

When I told him to take it a bit easy he said he didn't want to waste time and I should just have mana regen on cooldown (WTF that meant God knows, I guess he was talking about innervate?)

So I'm like, "Okay, so you're the healer now?" and he comes back to me saying "30% mana is more than enough" (Yea... right...)

He just expects us to keep up with his pace because "its not my problem"

I told him I'll show him what happens when he runs ahead like that. So he did it again and I almost let him die, but I didn't want to let the group down just before the final boss so I healed the idiot. Right after the last boss I /ignore him.

WTF do people have these attitudes? I can appreciate that he's probably 12 years old and knows "better" than us. He even went as far as saying he's DPS'ing more than the guys we had when one of them replied "orly?"

Can't he understand the reason he probably "tops" the damage meter is because he runs ahead waiting for others to catch up? I *really* wanted to let the little **** die.

Pally tanks I've experienced are the nicest people ever... courteous, they do ready checks often. They joke with you and even lets you go AFK for a second if the phone rings or whatever.

The rest of those bastards, including the DK's that think they're indestructible.... God I hate you arrogant pricks... especially if you don't listen to a simple request from the guy that's keeping you alive...

Bet you the ******* would have left the group if I let him die...

let then die just as your killing the boss and go "omg lag spike"

i try too always have my healer on focus target so i can keep track of his mana and see if he is being hit etc..

I use too be healer before rolling tank and I know what its like so I do understand :P

They get those attitudes when they start getting good gear and can handle the earlier heroics with ease. Its a team game, people seem to lose that thought when they get "good".

Im a warrior tank, but i wont take what you said personally, just because you've never run a HC with me. The healer is my best friend in that instance. If i dont give him his time needed to be able to bring 100% to the party, i wont make it, which in turn would most likely end in a wipe.

One thing i do hate is a healer rushing me. lol. Then i start rushing, and he goes oom.

the idea (for me though) is to not rush everyone, it's a game....

Even in battlegrounds people are like "n00bs! IDIOTS!!!! WEST SIDE TO THE WEST FUUUUCK!!!"

And I'm like "dude calm the **** down it's a game, we're playing to have fun"

or at least I am playing to have fun and to make friends

yeah tanks thing they cant die, until they don't ge heals ,then they angry at us :)

But in general i don't mind a tank mass pulling i sometimes even tell him to do it :P

I know exactly how you feel AcidRaZor. My main has always been a healer and arrogant tanks annoy me.
Granted these days I hardly ever go under 90% mana when doing hc dungeons & speedrun dungeons, but still you are 5 in a group like that and there needs to be common decency and consideration.

It used to be

Tank dies = healers fault
Healer dies = Tanks fault
DPS dies = Their own damn fault

Maybe we should add some more lines to that :p

Personally, as pallytank, i go at my pace.

If the dps doesn't like it, i really could care half a glass of **** less.
If the HEALER doesn't like it, i pay attention.

Even though im geared out the ass for heroics, i'm not quite as brazen to say i dont need heals.
There is though, imo, a vast difference between a weaker/newer player, and a just plain lazy player.

And i can spot them several miles away too by now.
The lazy player is the one who would show up to every instance without any food, water, INSTANTLY demand water from the mage but not help click the water fountain himself... you get the idea.

I put THAT ******* on /focus.
I make sure that when i see him take a hit, i move away from him and stop doing any aoe tps.

I also make very sure to let the healer know NOT to rez him.

Yes, im an ******* tank.
But with limits.

Im not invincible, but i definitely dont need to take crap from dps classes doing less dps than my lvl 74 rogue...
I will take crap from a healer anytime though. I generally like you guys.

See, at least you have some sense of not-being-an-*******

Do unto others and so forth...

I just had a Pally tank run through HoL like his mom is calling him for dinner and he needs to finish up now (even left the group before the final need/greed roll on the boss?!)

Didn't say a word right through, even when I asked for a second to rez one of the dps that went down he just ran for the next group of mobs.

Obviously he was a tough bugger. When I asked for Wisdom he buffed everyone in Kings and that was it.... not a single word....

At least I got a few achievements because gawd damn that dude didn't **** around...

Just now I entered HoR and they already cleared the first room, so I was like "cool, cause this part sucked the most when I healed last time" and the tank left after he said "Healer's gear won't make it through, bye"

I was like? WHAT???

As a DK tank I also fly through heroics. With minimal buffs, you are now at 50k HP, over 60% avoidance, insane amounts of armour etc. I get annoyed with a group that messes about. Healers have it the easiest in heroics with a good geared tank.

lol

Well... im not an ass to healers. Dps on the other hand...
Being mainspec ret nobody can look me in the eyes and tell me that dps is hard work. gtfo lol. Spam 3 (on average its 3) buttons and win.
I truely and greatly hate stupid retarded ebay dps toons.

About that... I do that with the old heroics too. You get what i give you and you will like it or stfu, imo.
In the new heroics though, as its tougher and requires a bit more oomph, i have a macro, right as i get everyone in the instance:

"You have 10 seconds to request a buff from me in /t. Should you not, you will get Kings and you will like it or go without it"

After 10 seconds i set my pallypower and time to kick some ass. I really dont appreciate it when ppl ask for a different buff when ive already started pulling.
Im heavily guilty of chainpulling. Any improper stopping for buffs etc rub me the wrong way most days. (Sorry thats what failpugs do to one's patience levels)

Yeah seen that. Its the gearscore era.
Funny story about that...
Pre 3.3 there was a pug forming in trade channel, and the guy was requesting that only 4k+ gearscore needs apply.
I kindly (or at least my version of kindly, which often comes off blunt) told him that gearscore doesnt mean jack####.
He then started slandering me in trade for being a butthurt kid who just wants to QQ for not being allowed to come coz i suck etc.
So i logged my main (ret pally), had him invite me, check score, etc, and he was happy with it. I let him know that i was coincidentally his "butthurt little kid" and he lol'd and said:

"Youre not so great ****nut, that hunter outscores you by almost 1k"

I went over to where the hunter was and inspected his gear. Yup, 25ToC and even some heroic 10ToC stuff there... wow... mostly iLvL 245... hmmm...

odd...

thats a nice Justicebringer...
Dude i love the Berserker enchant...
Strength gems ftw...

Kept my mouth shut. Didnt say a word to nobody.
Got to the raid.
Hunter did 1.2k constant.
WIN!

The guy never advertised gearscore requirements again.

EDIT: My point was that gearscore only checks average itemlevel... not whether or not that item actually belongs there. ;)

Yea I know :) that's why I was confused/hurt/pissed off

Fine I got a blue helm and blue boots, but I'm farming Truimph badges to get meh new helm and I need another 30k honor to get my boots then I'm all epic :)

I use wow-heroes for a bit of a guide to what I should be doing.

I'm with you on that Acid. I play this game for fun. Sure I'n a "serious" raider, but I want to have fun while at it...thus I don't like it if you have some retard raid leader that keeps yelling over vent.

I have a healer myself as well and last night I had a tank that kept running ahead (DK nogal). He almost died on mobs as I was in the other room getting mana :p

I play Ret mainspec but lately due to the lack of tanks I play prot just to not wait an hour to get a group together...
Dunno bout the other tanks but I'm yet to do a heroic without having a healer in grp, soon as that happens I'll rush grps otherwise healer is my main priority as you could still do dungeons with just a healer and tank it might jus take you a bit longer:p

Why do DPS guys moan about wait times? There's 3 to every group, so I'd imagine you'd be picked quicker than a healer or tank would? Seeing as you have a better chance at getting a group?

Because there is a shortage of tanks and healers when compared to dps. If you've ever used the old LFG tool, you would've seen that you usually get 5-10 dps guys in it waiting for a HC, but only 1 healer or tank.

DPS is easier in terms of responsibilities. You only have to check aggro and not stand in the fire or acid. Tanks and healers have more responsibility, so you get fewer players willing

As a rule when I tank, I LOVE to go non-stop, however I will keep an eye on the healer. If he sits down, I stop. If he keeps standing I go ahead, unless he is low enough I might sometimes ask if he wants to drink or if I can go.

Now I play as a casual in my previous guild, ie. never joing raids. Actually had this MT think I am a noob, until he joined me in a heroic 5man ToC and Onyxia on his alt as healer. All I got after the run was "WoW dude awesome tanking".

I believe skill still impresses people. In my runs, be it 10man ToC normal or heroics or whatever I do, I don't force people to do anything, I let them do whatever they want to do. Countless times I pick up mobs from DPS'ers that all just go on to their own targets ect. Even when you are doing fights where the mobs reset aggro regardless, I will have something ready for them to come back to me ect. At least when mobs attack dps'ers, I know they are not attacking the healer, and in turn that gives the healer something to do while bored out of his/her skill because tanks in good gear don't take much damage when played correctly (of coarse Raid bosses are the exception to this ).
