OMG I hate arrogant tanks

Do you use innervate by any chance Mister Acid ?

Yea but only when I go Oom or if the damn tank runs ahead. I try to save it for big boss fights though. I also rarely pot.

If the tank gives me wisdom instead of kings I'm usually fine, I just don't like it when I'm at 20-30% mana and he runs ahead and starts pulling.

Makes me nervous

Oh and I usually use my trinket when I feel in danger, absorbs 1500hp and then gives 1500mana back once it's ticked off or the shield dissipates. I only used that once now...

innervate has a 3 minut cooldown, use it dont use is

lol I know the count down but using it during a mob fight when I know the boss is just around the corner I'll just ask the tank to keep his ADD-ass still for a second while I drink my tea.

I swear, some of them are like. "Look, birdie! Look, ogre! aaaaaaaaah" and then overload on the mob-social-interaction they're getting and just run into everything as if their IQ was 3 and they need to put something in their mouth.... drooling everywhere

Use the looking for group tool...Votekick the arrogant trouble makers...Tank/Healer/Whatever...if they are rude / arrogant / noobs..they are gone. If the vote fails, I leave. Either way, I do this for fun, not to cater to some retard's ego.

I understand your frustration of the tank pushing a bit hard. But I do the same and the healers I take to heroics never drop below 80% mana, you lacking mana regen or gear perhaps?
The only class that ever run low on mana these days are hunters. IMHO if your running out of mana as a healer your most likely overhealing 90% of the time...

Pally tanks also tend to run low on mana regularly.

I have to agree with Acid about tanks pushing it too hard. While there are tanks that can lots of mobs and survive, there is a lot of them that can't. It seems like there is a mentality that because they can run the high-end HC's and raids they don't need to bother with the low-end HC's.

Or the tank runs ahead while everybody else is still looting bodies.

No, I never go OoM, but I do hit <30% when they pull 6-7 mob-packs in a row. Toughest time is when it's a warrior unable to keep aggro, so Mages/DK's tend to get shot (as well as me) and that makes the healing even tougher because WG doesn't cut it.

Then you get these n00bs that run away from me if they start to get some hits... "thinking" I'd never heal them in time.

When a tank can keep aggro I don't mind running 7 mobs without stopping for a drink, what I do mind is them doing that **** AND pulling the boss without waiting for anyone to catch up (yes, people are still running to the next mob) and/or not allowing them to drink, which then means they have to use pots to get what they need which means if the **** hits the fan they can't pot again

Amen brutha, I never get to loot bodies, missing out on Frostweave and money. I just have to keep up with the tank otherwise he drops to 20% hp so fast his head'll spin and it's tough (depending on the fight) to get him out of it, especially if the ****er can't hold aggro and the rest of the team is affected

Let the tank die. If he's running ahead while everyone else is still looting, then he deserves it. Perhaps that will knock down the tanks a couple of pegs. They need to remember that instance are a team effort.

Honestly, my gear is decent for healing, but I'm still a bit inexperienced, so that's why I prefer that the tanks take it easy.

I only take that kind of behavior from a guild tank, but that's because if he messes up, he's going to have a number of people tearing him a new one.

Pally tanks I've experienced are the nicest people ever... courteous, they do ready checks often. They joke with you and even lets you go AFK for a second if the phone rings or whatever.
Funny, my experience (while playing my mage) is mostly the opposite. Most paladins think the suns shines right out their arse. I call it 'OP complex'. Death Knights rush because they've been hit with the nerfbat so hard so many times, they can no longer feel pain and just barrel on headfirst into everything.

But srsly, as a tank, I like being the arrogant ****. Fact remains, tanks take the job no-one else wants to. And especially after tanking for pugs for a while, it starts to eat away at your soul and turn you into a hateful, loathing, seething ball of rage that despises anything that doesnt heal it.

Sure, I keep an eye on the healers mana/health and don't tend to rush ahead when he's low, but waiting for mages to drink after evey pull or for clowns who go afk after setting foot in the dungeon... I don't have time for that. It is a team effort, yes, and that means everyone has to fkng pull finger. That means you mr Pug dps, and you mr Pug healer. I get tired of carrying you leeches around on my back sometimes.

Heh. I still run ahead when I tank, but its mostly because my gear can take more than enough hits before I need healing. In fact if the healer stands back and the dps are there at least, we can usually take done 1 trash pack without me needing healing.

Even though I can do that, I still watch the healer. If the healer is gonna play hard ball, I can too, so remember that. I remember once a healer stopped healing, so I cleared the one pack I could without healing, then walked away from my pc and made coffee. When I got back the group were still waiting actually. I just started doing other things between pulls. Pisses me off but oh well I wasted their time royally.

Well you get good tanks and bad, like anything. I have to say, I tend to experience more bad dps and bad healers than bad tanks. Maybe it's just luck of the draw, but I suspect for the most part, tanking teaches you skills and awareness that the other roles simply dont. Generally people who choose tanking and then stick to it after the bad experiences, end up being pretty darn solid at it. Unlike faildps which can be faildps for the rest of it's faillife.

i always say good dps are people that have played healers or tanks before because they are more aware of their surroundings not just looking at the farking recount meters...

You come across as faildps :D

Oi! My main is a DPS (mage) :p

I do have a healer alt though :)

Heh so I got my gear back and decided to start tanking on my Warrior that is level 70. Round #1 the healer was cocky and after 1st trash pack says I am not def capped. I was like... 0_0 why on earth is a guy crying about def capped when its a leveling instance? (not that my def was 375, it was actually 390 but whatever)

His reply? I am wasting his mana! Told to the guy to get the hell out of there and he actually left on his own. Next healer join run goes smooth till the end.

So this goes both ways. Healers can be just as arrogant if not more.

At least I can say a Warrior tank is awesome fun. Still learning a bit with the AoE tanking but its getting there. Shockwave is amazing btw, love it!

aaaaah, wait till you get to Halls of Reflection HC. Makes your panties tremble and its hard work. Your aoe tanking needs to be top notch and be ready to taunt those pesky ranged units. (dps normally do the tab pew pew, aoe, tab pew pew aoe kind of dps in there)
