OMG I hate arrogant tanks

lol I had the rule in heroics, you get aggro you tank it. Whit the healer bein the only one I took aggro from as he is keepin my ass alive
Hmmm ^^ I like that rule, might just implement it too.

I used to main tank heroics all the time on my Belf Pala. Never had any problems to be honest. That character then did even ToC 25 as tank and Ony 25 just fine. Never did HM though. Point being, I never had a problem as the tank, except in the early days when I didn't have the gear yet to out aggro ilvl 245 geared DPSers. That changed fast because I geared up fast myself (Thanks to ToC 5 normal then ToC 5 Heroic)

Now sometime before 3.3 I started playing a warrior, way more fun but a bit more difficult to play as a tank (so much more you need to do). Thing is I do feel warriors take a bit more dmg as paladins, except for the small period of time I have shield block, last stand or shield wall up. I am still leveling though so can't say 100% certain, but that is how it feels.

I think warriors have insane single target TPS, their AoE TPS is not as high as that of a Paladin, but usually if you don;t have idiots in your group you do just fine. Give the tank 2-4 seconds to pick up the aggro and trust me a warrior will keep all the adds just as tight on him as a paladin.

Finally, I don't have a problem nowadays either, except that I see a lot of people joining groups having no idea how to play this game. /sigh

I wasn't offended, I just wanted to know what he meant by it. I couldn't care less what people think is wrong with Belfs or Palas. I am however interested as to what he meant regardless. Reading between the lines on forums is well...not always that simple.

When I start a HC I normally ask the healer first if they happy with my chain pulling or not.

If they say they happy with me chain pulling, then I tell them that they must just whisper me if they need a break. But normally after each huge pull I always target the healer to make sure he has enough mana to carry on.

Tanks that just run off and expect everyone else to run after them with no breaks or anything annoy me.

I say just let them die. If they run off to their death without back up it's their own fault.

Well, if you've been chain running hc's as a tank for 4 hours straight, you'll understand how everything starts to blur. I've done the 'wander off alone and get slaughtered by 15 mobs' thing a few times because, after a while, I'm effectively on autopilot.

Thankfully I've got all the Triumph loot i could ever want/need, and all the drops i wanted from the new 5mans, so now I just do the daily for Frost emblems.

He'll be back in the next hc within minutes after he plugpulls, while you sit in LFG for another half an hour. It may be unpleasant, but tanks dictate the pace and if you can't keep up, odds are you're going to be back in the queue soon enough.

I've actually just had an interesting run.

I join this instance, it starts off with the healer chain pulling stuff. At first I didn't notice it was the healer and thought I have a rambo DPSers on my case and as per normal just kept mobs off the healer. Ah did I have a good laugh when I myself was still waiting for buffs from a fail paladin (he gave me wisdom, me being a warrior) next thing I see he already pulled the next boss himself. He died, and I took over the boss with all the mighty cooldowns a warrior can use in 1 pull, as well as a healthstone + the 30% health regen which consumes my enrage :(

At that point at least he learned. I also learned with him I can chainpull and the dps'ers had to play catch up the whole time. Was fun in all and he also went on about how I have the worst spec ever for a tank, which I see as a few talents in difference, like 5 maybe and doesn't make it a complete failspec, just a few things that I can maybe change later.

Here is a screenshot you might appreciate, to show what tanks have to put up with:

1. First he lets me die, on like a tiny pack, where he has full mana and was ready at that time
2. I then ask for a buff, then nothing...to the point a DPSer asks him
3. To which he reply "dont have". I didn't ask for gift of the wild, but mark of the wild.

Oh well he ended up on my ignore list.

Well clearly he didn't know his ass from his elbow. I'm voting for an IQ test before anyone is allowed in the random dungeons... or at least a quick quiz about their race/class. At least you'll know that he knows he has a specific ability.

Bet you he's been leveling without that buff...

Ran last night with a hunter that pulled every time without ever using misdirect. He also disengaged into other mobs twice. After a couple wipes, last boss he's got aspect of the pack on and refuses to take it off. Ask nicely and from the response it's clear he can barely speak a word of english.

NAw. I've absolutely come to believe that the majority of retards play dps. Maybe that's because there's more of them so the obvious ratio is that there will be a larger number of bads, I dunno. But I've only ever run with really bad tanks or healers a handful of times (yes, even the dk tanks are usually good), where every second pug seems to have a token retard dps in it.

I have only ever met 1 single pug rogue who used Tricks of the Trade, and have yet to meet a pug hunter who uses misdirect.

I use misdirect all the time... I love stuffin around on guild runs :p /cast misdirect /target healer\dps Pew Pew

I only use MD in PUGs when it is necessary, that being:
- When FailTank struggles to generate enough threat
- The other DPSers struggle to control themselves
- On boss fights so we can all open up the can right off the bat

Rest of the time is isn't needed.

I usually put Vigilance on whichever DPS I think will be pulling the most TPS. Then after a few trash packs I re-evaluate to make it easier for myself.

This one run however, I joined and there was a hunter 3 levels above me, rest of the dps a level or more below me. So I put it on the hunter, who immediately felt offended. I was like "Why not?". His reply, he will use miss-direct so I put it on to the lock a level below me. Needless to say that run, the hunter was the least of my problems :)

I should make a topic, "OMG I hate arrogant healers"

Joined a Utgarde Pinnalce random, me being level 70 still and already in mostly defence gear except for my heirlooms and head. Usually have 22k hp buffed. So I join this run and the healer goes "Tin get into your tank gear now!". To which I reply this is my tank gear. Next thing, healer leaves.

Really funny to be honest, I have not had one run yet where I couldn't handle instance as a tank in that gear. Done HoL, HoS, CoS and even Occulus. Its not a heroic instance either, not sure what the hell this dude, Niirvana from Sylvanas expected...

Well will soon be 80 at which point I can equip some new crafted and Wyrmrest rep gear /sigh

Im assuming you meant Utgarde Keep instead of Utgarde Pinnacle while you were level 70? If you are indeed referring to UP then I can understand why healer would leave as it is a level 80 normal.

After re-reading your post I suspect you meant to say you were level 80 at the time, and not 70. That being the case the healer was indeed an idiot, as I have healed tanks with that HP through the easier hc's without being def capped.
