so basically the X1 has a superclocked(more than x2 speed) INNOV8 cpu and then a N96 cpu too!!!!

and piesang you say it faster than the X1?

LOL!!

I think it pretty obvious which the best is right ?

Yes, the Omnia is 100mhz faster than the X1.

That's the problem with the X1, it only looks good on paper.
I still prefer my N96. The Omnia that I also use is better than the X1.
And I'm talking out of experienc.

The TouchPro is basically the same as the Diamond, just with a slide-out keyboard.

Over the Diamond the Touch Pro has more memory, has a memory card slot, the camera has a flash, better battery, TV out and obviously the keyboard. Thats quite a bit.

take the phone you like.... simple as that. they are all awesome phones.

Touch screen guys, some questions.

What do you do when your hands are dirty, full of sand etc? Still touch the screen?

When you put your phone in your pocket, aren't you worried about bumping it? Im sure one decent bump on the X1's big screen and you will have a lovely crack.

X1/Touch pro - Does the qwerty keyboard ever get stuck from sand etc?

Reason why I ask is I am a very active outdoor person always at the beach, biking etc and need a solid phone. Going into MTN tomorrow afternoon and still havn't decided on a phone.

I think the screens are made quite strong so that they can withstand bumpung etc. Just don't trow it or stab it and it should be fine.
I had an imate K-jam and the keys are pretty tightly nestled with the plastic so I think it would be pretty hard to get sand lodged in there, although it probably is possible to get it stuck in the sliding mechanism.

When your hands are dirty you can still touch the screen, it is quite hard to scratch them, although I woul recommend washing them first.... Or you could use the stylus.

ive had no x1 issues at all since beginning december. dropped it onto hard floors like concrete a couple times but thats the joys of sony ericssons..... (ericsson dont make the worlds best military communications for nothing :)

Didn't HTC make the X1?

I Second that!

My W810i had a10m fall onto a solid concrete floor and it only picked up a few scratches. That is build quality for you!

Oh so its a Omnia with a keyboard? :D

Sony ericsson is the hardware designer of the X1 and HTC is the Manufacturer. in other words SE said we want x made of x with x featured and HTC made it...or that is my understanding of it..
So SE told HTC what grades of material should be used-giving it the rugged, solid, durable build quality...

It was a bad production week between 08w43 and 08w47 if memory serves...if you have that problem take it back to the shp that you got it and they should replace it on site...

anyone care for me to upload pics of damaged diamonds?

How much bigger when holding it is the Touch Pro over the Touch Diamond?

Only size difference is its 6/7mm thicker and obviously heavier with the keyboard.
Why? I have a Omnia and the screen doesn't look bad at all. What do you want, 1920x1200????

Why settle for a piddly 400x240 when you can have 640x480 or 840x480. If you browse the net much it makes a huge difference. Movies also look much better on a diamond/touch pro than a omnia even with the smaller screen. It all comes down to what you want your phone for.
