Besides yesterday and maybe a few other cloudy days, they should be topped up by the next night. Well soon you won't know :-)

Yep, I have been conservative with them though, so there is a scheduled charge from 16:30 to 19:00 but most of the days at the moment they just sit at 100% until 19:00.

Why not start using them from when sun starts dropping? Mine normally start being used around 5pm

I was like that in my first week :-) in July with the solar panels, had it set to solar during the day and grid at night for a little but, now I can happily have the system kick over at 5pm and at 5am start drawing a bit from Eskom till solar can fully take over at 9am.

With loads being lighter and more potential PV available, I'll get there, although the setup will never reduce CityPower use to zero as our oven, electric kettle, toaster, bedroom AC are grid only.

Yup I'm not on 0 either as my oven and geyser are on grid, with a small % coming in from 5am to 8am but like a small %.
 
Ran the house yesterday with no scheduled battery charge as solar radiation is peaking at just over 600 W/sqm at the moment and running from 19:00 at night on battery doesn't see the SOC go below 50% in the morning. Today is a heavy use day with our domestic worker here so hopefully the batteries will get to 100% SOC before being needed again when the sun sets.

And now we have no mains so our batteries should be charged as I have told the nanny and domestic worker not to use any large appliance.
