I find that Wi-Fi gets disabled when the phone sleeps and reconnects when the phone wakes. I noticed from an app "Smart Wi-Fi toggler" which logged the Wi-Fi disconnecting every time the phone slept. I thought it was an app issue, maybe to do with Android Oreo not allowing persistent apps to run in the background during sleep, so I uninstalled it. But now I see the problem is still there. My Wi-Fi preference is to always keep Wi-Fi on during sleep, but that's not happening.

I don't know if this is an Oreo issue as I bought the phone with Oreo 8.0 but I noticed some posts online about Nexus users with this problem.

The result is things like my WhatsApp automatic backup, instead of uploading to Google drive at 2am, runs when my phone wakes in the morning. I prefer uploads to happen when the network is quiet.*
 
Mmmm, that's odd. So I take it none of your push services work either? So Whatsapp, Gmail etc messages don't come through until you manually wake the handset?

EDIT: I would say if it's just a Whatsapp issue check the battery optimization and Doze settings for Whatsapp and ensure they off but wifi shouldn't disconnect in sleep mode.

EDIT: Have you activated developer options? Try disabling Doze mode and see if that fixes the issue.

Thanks for the suggestions. Tonight I'll just disable battery optimization for WhatsApp to see what appears in the morning. Why I think it's the Wi-Fi sleeping, is because WhatsApp backup is "waiting for Wi-Fi" when I see the phone in the morning, which suggests WhatsApp does wake itself while the Wi-Fi is off.

The other apps can update via cellular data during the night while the Wi-Fi is off, only Wi-Fi reliant processes like backup uploads would be stalled if Wi-Fi is disabled during sleep.
 
Anybody running final Lineage 15.1? Can you comment on the camera performance?

I flashed 14.1 and I was not impressed with the camera so much so that I went back to Oxygen OS!

I have tried this, but it seems there is underlying software baked into the OxygenOS that is not included in Lineage. I even tried the OnePlus camera and features like HDR and the HQ mode for low light do not work.

Lineage camera is just not as good and it is noticeable
 
OK so I decided to try out Lineage 15.1 over this weekend and its great overall but the camera sucks... BIG TIME! It takes the phones images back like 3-4 years ago.

There are many positives with Lineage custom features but the camera downgrade is just too big to ignore. Hopefully at some point the Oxygen camera algorithms get ported to Lineage and then it will be the best ROM for this device (IMO)

Lineage 15.1 on my S7E was all nice, shiney, smooth and then... Dstv now didn't work on it. WTF
 
I had already decided to keep my 3T for as long as possible and this sweetens the choice even more!! Super happy to be a OnePlus owner
