Oneplus 6T

Weird though. I've not had issues using any other android phone.
I wonder if they broke something with an update? It's never been super smooth but I've always attributed it to high graphic content of some of the threads. But quite recently it took a steep nosedive.

Taken now in almost total darkness with night mode, not bad at all.

Gumtree app does the same. I don't think these are app issues. Seems to be rather firmware related. I've read the latest update apparently broke ram management.

Am really impressed by this phone.

What I do not like - The fingerprint scanner is bright as hell in a dark environment. You have to close your eyes if you want to unlock it at night in bed, else you will get blinded :)

Bit disappointed that they still haven't brought back the option to enable the AOD to be on permanent.

Other than that, fantastic phone.

.... And how can they omit the notification LED ❓

I've read people complain about it. I've never been a big fan of LED lights so it doesn't bother me. But I guess it would be nice addition, since AOD can't be enabled to stay on permanently so you'll have to wake your device up just to see if there are notifications.

Surely with OLED one could create some nice LED functionality using a few pixels that light up on the screen?

Installed a custom kernel to overcome the hideous vibration intensity settings.

The OS feels even faster now. Very very close now to the pure pixel experience. Love it.

Just over 10 for the 8/128GB variant landed.

Found that the elemental kernel works best for me. To manage it I bought EX kernel manager.

Just fired up blu_sparks kernel. Haven't really felt the need for custom anything, stock works so well!! Buuuuuut, Tapatalk feels a lot smoother at the MO. How's it for you? Could just be because I wipe dalvik cache before and after installing custom kernel.... ooooooor it could be the custom kernel??

I think that Tapatalk has a cache. I think if you try clearing that and the OS cache via recovery mode it might helped.

I had the same issue where the bottom of the screen would freeze, so I updated the OP launcher via the app Store as I can't uninstall it (I use Nova launcher). The screen freezing stopped then.

I can't recall any issues with Tapatalk though, but I think that clearing the OS cache often helps with bugs.
