OnePlus 7

If I chose a phone on Amazon of similar value the import fees come to R1700 in total.

Aramex website lists a 7% duty and 15% vat on mobile phones. I paid over 29%. Hmm, something is not adding up here.
TIA

Smartphoneshop.co.za hopes to have stock in two weeks. Local warranty. I got my 6T from them. No pricing yet but the 6T was R12k.

Interested in how their local warranty works? Do they source parts and repair themselves?

They explained to me that they get a % kickback on their order with OnePlus that they use to buy parts with. They repair locally. Haven't needed to test the claim yet. But they have a real shop in Claremont, Cape Town:

Can confirm they do local repairs. A friend had his 6t repaired there.

Everyone knew it was launching, how can you know about the brand Oppo but not know that the new Oneplus is coming out?

The Reno is still a good phone, no sad panda.
Reno was much cheaper though, plus I use it as a spare phone. So I'm enjoying it.

Cant wait to get mine! How long did you wait for customs?

Where you able to sort your vat+duties with AGS?
I raised the duties with them but haven't heard back yet.

Here are all shipping stages.

But hang in there :). You'll be blown away.
