are you using the OP7 Pro?
I've tried using joneplus on my OP6, but it kept prompting me to root when i initiated the app. so i just gave up and moved to MIUI and EMUI.
Considering getting the OP7, not the PRO (it's too darn big!!), only if i can get the Call Record to work.

The pro. I read now that the pro has it built in, it just needs to be unlocked. Unsure about the non pro. Probably safest route to stay with MiUi and EMUI

I use bold beast recorder on my OP6. Works a treat, very good but I'm rooted.

It does have a number of call recording modes though, that work without root. Haven't bothered with them but I seem to recall they work.

Exceptionally unlikely. OnePlus uses clean Android firmware that needs little convincing for the uninitiated, and has developed a lot more international recognition. Oppo is a brand with zero pulling power here and unconventional firmware. People will totally expect a super bargain price.

Search for an app called oxygen updater in play store.

Just pull the ota file with it. Use the local upgrade function under system update. Don't install via the app.
