I use voice calls for work and data. The sim that would come with this deal would be chucked into a draw as I would stay on Vodacom 79c prepaid and an MTN data sim in the second sim slot as that gives me the best speeds at our beach house. So dual sim is non negotiable for me.

I have seen on the S20 threads that alot of people who got them from VC and MTN got dual sim devices so theres hope
 
pulled the trigger but it says they will call me to confirm.

consultant I phoned earlier said normal deals are from 7th to 7th but when labelled online exclusive, they are usually for a week or so.
 
Took the plunge aswell. My dad enquired at a Vodacom store about the device as he's also getting one and apparently the device's 2nd sim slot is disabled according to the consultant he spoke with. Let's see.

That's disappointing. Also hearing that it is actually the 8gb variant...
 
Only thing that I am missing is a decent tripod with a 1m - 1.5m height.
Any recommendations?

I also suspected that. But makes sense, 12GB version is a McLaren edition which is much pricier.

But on the bright side, its under 10k total for a SD855+ 8/256GB device, I was gonna pay atleast 50% more for an Exynos Samsung

Agreed, the deal is excellent. Got even sweeter though, with mention of the 12gb variant. Is it only the 7Pro that has a 12gb variant then? I thought the 7T Pro too... anyway...

Nope Vodacom’s service is really bad. The last correspondence I got from them yesterday was this SMS:
Dear ******! We've received your Vodacom order K2******0, and it will be dispatched soon. Didn't place an order? Email [email protected]

That's nice, expected the second SIM to be disabled or locked to Vodacom.

Still waiting for mines, it out for delivery today.
