my worries are repairs, accessories and the couple of samsung features I make use of like the password manager built in.

hows gcam on the 7T Pro?

Also looking at the 7t pro as an upgrade which I'm due for from 2017.

I see Takealot has some screen protectors and covers available.

Repairs I'm assuming would be handled by Vodacom if the distributor had to unexpectedly stop supporting the device.

someone here mentioned it comes with screen protector installed and cover in the box. thats been good enough for the A50 so it should be fine for me

Yeah but you probably want a other cover.

I bought a spigen tough armour for mine.
 
@Ockie Can you pay your Vodacom contract in advance ie the OnePlus 7T is R500 x 24 months which equals R12000.
Can I for example pay R6000 which equals the first year’s payment in advance. And then the next year pay the other R6000?

That's a pretty decent deal. Is it the 7t or 7t pro for R399? And does the phone come with Vodacom bloatware preloaded? I assume not network locked?

It's the 7t Pro.

I did an upgrade online so still have to wait for them to deliver it. Will update about bloatware when the phone arrives.

I know Vodacom tells you when the phone is network locked so I'm assuming this is not network locked as it wasn't mentioned.

I'm seeing the 7t Pro for R499 now, not R399, unless I'm looking at the wrong deal... Very good deal at R399, I must say. I'd be tempted at that price not that there is anything wrong with my 7Pro but my daughter would love to retire her OP6 at some stage. The Pro would be a decent upgrade for her....
