A terrorist stabbed a 70-year-old woman, inflicting moderate-to-severe wounds, near Jerusalem's central bus station on Wednesday evening.. The attacker attempted to board an Eged bus before being shot dead.



Only a few hours earlier, a knife-wielding terrorist was shot dead at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City before he was able to hurt anyone.

October 4*– Moshe Malka, 15, is stabbed*near the Old City. The stabber, Fadi Alloun, is*shot by police*as he flees the scene. But Palestinians claim he is innocent and was shot by police at the urging of an extremist Jewish mob.
October 5*– Thousands demonstrate*in front of Netanyahu’s residence, demanding harsher security measures.
Netanyahu says: “We are allowing our forces to take strong action against those who throw rocks and firebombs. This is necessary in order to safeguard the security of Israeli citizens on the roads and everywhere. In military raids in the West Bank, Israel kills two Palestinians, including a 13-year-old, within 24 hours.

Israel’s Dismal Record of Arresting and Convicting Jewish Terrorists

A report published in May by Yesh Din, an Israeli group that provides legal assistance to Palestinians, looked at the fate of some 1,000 complaints filed with Israeli police over alleged violence by settlers between 2005 and 2014.

The study found that more than 91 percent of investigations were closed without indictments being filed. In the overwhelming majority of these cases, around 85 percent, the investigation was closed due to a failure to find suspects or collect sufficient evidence to file charges, the report says.

“Of course, not every crime can be solved,” said Yesh Din spokesman Gilad Grossman. “But if such a large proportion of cases remains unsolved it is because the police fails to take even the most basic investigative steps such as interviewing witnesses, the complainant and potential suspects.”

Only about 7 percent of investigations lead to charges being filed, according to Yesh Din. Most of these involve violent attacks and high-profile cases, such as a 2007 kidnapping and beating of a 15-year-old Palestinian boy, the report says.

For cases that do end up in court, almost 23 percent of indictments are dropped or thrown out, while nearly a quarter of trials end with a guilty verdict but a decision not to convict the defendant. This measure of leniency – which is often applied to minors or people without a criminal record – is used unusually liberally with settlers, the report suggests, noting that such an outcome occurs only in 5.3 percent of cases tried in magistrates courts and 1.2 percent in district courts.

Only a third of the trials end with a full or partial conviction, which may result from a plea bargain, according to the report. Taking into account the amount of indictments originally filed, this means that for Palestinian victims of Jewish violence there is less than a 2.5 percent chance of the perpetrators being found, tried and convicted.

Police helicopters hover over Tel Aviv in hot pursuit of would-be terrorists

According to police, the authorities have sealed off portions of roadways leading to the Azrieli Center, which lies just off the Ayalon Freeway.



Security forces in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area are searching for a "suspicious vehicle" on Thursday, with helicopters hovering in a pursuit that has focused on the Hashalom Junction that borders Ramat Gan.

According to police, the authorities have sealed off portions of roadways leading to the Azrieli Center, Tel Aviv's most recognizable skyscrapers which lie just off the Ayalon Freeway.

Helicopters and sirens can be heard by residents while massive traffic jams have been reported on Ayalon.

Witnesses at the Givatayim Mall just a few kilometers away from the area said that massive police forces have entered the vicinity in search of suspicious activity.

Yuval Diskin, ex-head of the Shin Bet intelligence agency, reflecting on Israel's response to such attacks, stated that an anarchistic state was being formed in southern West Bank which was violent and developing racist ideologies and that these are being handled tolerantly by the Israeli judicial system. He claimed that, in this part of the West Bank, 'law enforcement is shockingly weak towards Jews.'

According to the UN, since the beginning of 2015 at least 120 settler attacks have been documented in West Bank, and Yesh Din statistics suggest over 92.6% of Palestinian complaints lodged with Israeli security forces never led to charges being filed.

Israeli stabs another Jew by mistake, trying to avenge wave of Palestinian stabbings

An Israeli man stabbed a fellow Jew by mistake, in apparent revenge for the recent spate of Palestinian-on-Israeli stabbings. The specter of increasingly violent nationalism has steadily been rising on both sides.

The stabbing occurred in the Haifa suburb of Kiryat Ata on Tuesday, according to Haaretz. The attacker allegedly thought his victim was an Arab. When it became clear what had transpired, he sought to flee the scene. A security guard shot at him, grazing a bystander’s arm in the process.

The suspect was apprehended and is now being questioned by police. He is a local, aged 36. His victim is 23 and is from the same town. The injured man’s condition has been described by doctors as moderate. He sustained several stab wounds to the back.....
