Yep and when they leave the army their guns are taken away. You need a gun license in order to carry a gun after the army, however, citizens cannot get gun licenses.
 
Odd that an Israeli attacker was actually SHOT by security, ARRESTED, and will be prosecuted. By Israel.
Wonder how many Palestinians have been arrested by their authorities for violence?

If you're following the other thread, the prosecution part seems to be a bit of a farce.
 
It is EXTREMELY difficult for the average Israeli to get a gun license to carry.
Only if you are in very dangerous outlying areas. Their laws are far stricter than our own.
They will be eased up a little now, but still very hard to get.

They tend to avoid strapping explosives to themselves, hiding weapons in hospitals and ambulances, firing rockets from civilian populated areas and beheading anyone who doesn't agree with their religion.
But when we do find any...you'll be the first to know. ;)

This is one of the two teenagers in an Israeli hospital that stabbed two Israelis, that Abbas went on a rant that he was executed by Israelis. The two Israelis still in hospital in critical condition.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Arab media have been claiming since Monday that 13-year-old Ahmed Manasra, who was documented committing a terror attack in Pisgat Ze'ev this week, has been "executed" by Israel.



Except that Dr. Asher Salmon, the deputy director of the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Karem, said Thursday that the boy is alive, and is in light-to-moderate condition.

Photos of Mansra from the hospital were released to support those statements.

Most of the population. Conscription is only 3 years, so the number of adult males serving is not huge, and the reserves etc do not have firearms at home.
 
Seems Israel has pretty good gun control. Only one gun allowed, that makes a lot of sense.

As a general rule, an individual who qualifies for a license may be eligible for only one firearm. Possession of additional firearms may be licensed for special reasons, including when the additional firearm is an air or BB gun, when it is designed to be held as memorabilia, or when it is required for different fields of sports or for the prevention of harm to agriculture.

As per previous post. I'm sure that's the impression they are trying to convey. If I was Israel I'd dump him to the curb after getting the positive publicity.

Yes, but you are NOT Israel. And they have ALWAYS treated Palestinians in their hospitals, no matter what the situation.
That's the difference.

The death toll would disagree with you. It seems odd that the same nation would take in and look after a street urchin that been caught intentionally trying to attack one of their citizens yet level entire towns with very little sympathy at all.
