Israeli investigators believe that the gunman who went on a shooting rampage on a busy Tel Aviv street Friday afternoon is an Israeli Arab.

According to Channel 10, authorities are now searching the home of the family of the gunman.

The suspect is from the region of Wadi Ara, not far from the northern town of Haifa. Channel 10 reported on Friday that the suspect's father recognized his son in the closed-circuit television footage that emerged shortly after the rampage and notified authorities

A woman in her 30's was killed in a terrorist stabbing attack in her home located in the settlement of Otniel, in the South Hebron Hills region.

According to an initial security assessment, the terrorist entered Otniel, snuck into the woman's house, and stabbed her to death before fleeting the scene. Security forces have launched a large search of the area and set up roadblocks.

Paramedics at the scene attempted to revive the woman but eventually declared her dead.

A senior MDA paramedic, Noam Bar, who arrived at the stabbing scene, described encountering a difficult scene. "We saw a woman aged around 30 who was unconscious, with no breath or pulse. She suffered from stab wounds to her upper body. We attempted to resuscitate her for a lengthy amount of time, at the end of which, we were forced to pronounce her dead," he said.

Dafna Meir Murder: Teen Arrested in Stabbing of Israeli Mom of Six

TEL AVIV, Israel — A 15-year-old Palestinian has been arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing a Jewish mother of six in her West Bank home, Israeli security officials said on Tuesday.

The male was detained in a raid late on Monday, according to police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.

Dafna Meir, 38, died after an attacker entered her residence in the Jewish settlement of Otniel on Sunday, according the Israeli Defense Forces. She was killed while three of her children were in the house, according to officials.
"The suspect was apprehended following extensive operational and intelligence efforts," an IDF spokesman told NBC News on Tuesday.

Israeli officials would not name or in any other way identify the suspect, although Palestinian news sites ran what they said was his picture and name.

Guard shoots and kills 13-year-old who assaulted him with a knife; she apparently fought with her family and left her home in 'Anata with the intention to die.

When she arrived in Anathoth at around 8am, she encountered the settlement's security guard who asked her to identify herself, leading her to run towards the guard, knife-in-hand.

The guard managed to dodge the knife and then shoot her, critically wounding her. Paramedics tried to resuscitate her, but had to declare her dead at the scene.
