Palestinian attempts to ram Israelis, shot dead

Jerusalem - Israeli police say a Palestinian assailant attempted to ram her vehicle into Israeli border police in the West Bank before she was fatally shot.

Police spokesperson Luba Samri says a driver sped toward Israeli forces who were controlling rioting Palestinian youth in the village of Silwad north of Ramallah on Friday.

She says the Israeli police took cover and shot at the driver, who died on the scene.

There are Arab citizens in Israel, many of whom are of Palestinian descent. But the Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza aren't Israeli citizens.

Jewish settlers carry out another ‘price tag’ attack on sleeping Palestinian family

Early Tuesday morning suspected Jewish nationalists launched two tear gas canisters scribbled with the word “revenge” into a Palestinian home in Beitillu outside of Ramallah, said Israeli police. At the time a Palestinian family was sleeping inside of the house, including an nine-month old baby. No injuries were reported.

The head of Beitillu Village Council Hisham al-Bazzar told the Palestinian outlet Wafa one window was broken during the attack on the home of Hussein al-Najjar. After the gas was lobbed indoors neighbors rushed to the scene and evacuated the al-Najjar family.

Israeli police said in a statement the assailants graffitied “hello from the prisoners of Zion” on an exterior wall and therefore were investigating the assault as a “price tag” attack, a so-called revenge act by Jewish extremists on Palestinians for perceived repression against the settler movement by the Israeli government.

Terrorist stabs soldier near Central Bus Station in Jerusalem

Paramedics provided medical treatment to the young man approximated to be about 21-years-old who was in moderate but stable condition following a stab wound to his upper body.

He was taken to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem for treatment and was later listed as being in light condition.

According to Israel Police, the 30-year-old terrorist was apprehended by a nearby security guard until officers could arrive at the scene.

Pair of terrorists launch stabbing attack on IDF soldiers in West Bank

Two terrorists carried out a stabbing attack near Hawara in the Nablus area of the West Bank on Sunday.

According to initial reports, two IDF soldiers were injured in the attack, one in moderate condition and the second suffering from light wounds. One soldier sustained stab wounds in the attack, while the second was likely hit by friendly fire in the course of soldiers engaging the knife attackers. The two have been taken to the Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva.

The terrorists who carried out the attack were shot and killed on the scene.
