Its not greed on our part, its very expensive to be a pirate firstly you need a ship,an eye patch, some swords and a wooden leg.... Oh sorry wrong pirate:confused:

To get a 4Mb line plus an uncapped account puts you back just over a thousand rand. Pirates in South Africa are willing to spend this amount of money for their tv fix. If someone brought out something where we could get the shows and movies that we wanted in a way that we wanted to consume they could make a killing. Sadly they want to get as much as possible and give as little as possible so that they can keep on feeding us stale breadcrumbs for the price of Shepherd loaf.

We dont have 'cheap' internet like they do overseas. When the cost of and speed of downloading things become available online, I think people will be more than willing to pay. It is about what is convenient I think. And getting the series from your friend or whatever is too easy. To get a good line is expensive, and downloading a movie I have paid for is near impossible with my line (iBurst) for instance. Not all the latest series are available in the shops. So if you want to watch something what can you do?

Im obviously referring to digital content here - and not buying a series of disks.

Yeah, makes sense to me: if they can't get it easily or at a price they like, then just steal it. Good recipe for changing the world. They can even call themselves agents of change, social and economic crusaders for justice. Our capacity for self-deception is limitless.

LOL! Wow sarcasm. You're clever. Im putting opinions out there. It makes for interesting discussions. Your post, and posts about grammar add nothing - in my opinion.

Also, if i wanted to change the world I would start with animal abuse, poverty, pedophiles, and global warming. Just saying.

Not as simple as that. It all depends what you mean by "an area".

What if "an area" is enlarged or reduced through conquest? Many modern states didn't exist 100, 200, 300 or more years ago. The modern Westphalian state system has many artificial constructs, and borders of "an area" can and do change. Who says South Africa is one country, and why can the majority of Zulus and Xhosas who control the "area" of South Africa (an artifical construct by conquerors) determine what Sothos or Pedi's must do in their own "area", especially when it wasn't part of "the area" in the past? The Ottomans, for example, in a genocidal forced removal that killed millions, cleared Serbia for muslims settlers - who then are the people who have right and title in Serbia, the new settlers, or those forcefully expelled? Forced remiovals in South Africa? Or in Palestine? Who says the Basques must be part of Spain? Sudetenland? Georgia? Lithuania? Almost all state boundaries in Africa are artificial colonial constructs - there are many cases of a single poeple now living in two different countries, ie "states" are not coterminous with "areas". Et cetera. You get the general idea.
