On gmail your online contacts is displayed on the left where you can have a live chat with them there is also the option to send free smses but you guessed it, you can't send messages to any of the service providers in SA. My problem is you can send to vodacom phones in Ghana and MTN phones in Zambia, Uganda and Ghana. Those are our service providers but yet again we are being left out. This is also the case with yahoo messenger. Why do the SA companies ALWAYS restrict us.

I previously saw that we were excluded, but I never realized that our operators are not excluded in other countries. I always thought that it might be limited to the US and a few others.

Skype services also none here. Over seas you can phone for free to landline in one country...not here.

I think it's the same holding company, but they will obviously operate independently from the company in SA - with their own local rules and regulations.
