Openserve - Afrihost double speed promotion.

Is there any update on the timeline for this to happen? I saw some posts suggesting that the e-mails would be sent out to the qualifying users.

According to the Openserve website, the following:

Openserve Fibre customers can enjoy higher speeds without paying more.​

This Double Your Speed promotion is available to Openserve Fibre customers on the 25 Mbps and 50 Mbps speeds only.

Simply contact your participating Internet Service Provider for more information and ask them to upgrade your speed until 28 February 2023 for FREE.

I currently am on a 50/25 Mbps line, so I definitely qualify for this speed upgrade offer.
 
Good morning, emails are being sent out in batches to qualifying clients to opt-in for the promotion. The team started sending out the emails yesterday afternoon.

I have to laugh at my luck... I dropped my line speed to 50/50 as of 1 Dec. So I expect to not get the free speed bump from 50 back to 100 which is not an issue for me, but I just though it was funny.

If only downgrades were immediate and we did not have to put in a notice with the FNO and wait for the next billing run.

C'est la vie
But I reduced my line speed because I no longer need it. Media server is no longer at my house, only one device streams at a time, and game updates are fast enough on a 50Meg line. So I am not really upset.

Any feedback/updates on the progress of the e-mails? It's now almost eight hours later and I still have not received any e-mail yet.
