Openserve - Afrihost double speed promotion.

I opted in on Thursday evening and upgrade is still pending? Will upgrade only kick in on 1 Dec? Thought the process would be completed within 24 hours.
Morning.

Kindly send me a PM with your account number. I will have a look and advise.

I am also being double billed :-(
PM sent.
Think I'm gonna to disable my card tomorrow evening in the event that I get double billed. Will settle the invoice I need to pay manually.

You can pull an account history in ClientZone to see the balance and the amount you will be charged.

Yeah that's exactly the reason I'm disabling my card because I'm still seeing a separate invoice for the 'free' upgrade despite raising it a few days ago:

If these additional invoices do in fact get processed you're gonna have a lot of people complaining. Hopefully just a glitch but I don't feel like taking the chance & dealing with trying to get reimbursed.

Anyone else's double up promo download speed doubled up again? Went from 50 down to 100 down.

Openserve doubled the download speed for all 25mbps and 50 mbps clients until end of Jan.

I am aware of that but was originally on 25 down which doubled to 50 which has now doubled up again to 100.

Unless the promotion changed at some stage which then doubled it up again.

Two seperate promos. One you had to opt in for (with higher price if you don't opt out in time) and the other everyone got.

For the uninitiated. Do we reset our routers for this to take effect? I got the mail on Saturday and had no speed increase yet.

There are currently 2 promos.

1st Promo is an opt-in promo where an order needs to be placed we get a discount on the line rental of the higher speed.

2nd Promo launched is likely due to the poor uptake in the opt-in promo and Openserve decided to implement it at an FNO level automatically.

These promos have different start and end times as well as different terms. The Opt-in promo is order based which means you need to submit the downgrade before the 22nd of February to downgrade again. The 2nd promo is auto and is controlled by Openserve and will be enabled automatically and removed automatically at the end of January 2023.

These promos stack so you can opt-in first and then get the second promo free also.

Thank you for the clarification, didn't know there were two promos running which made me think something was up.

Ran a few speed tests over the weekend. Another one few mins ago. Still no change
Try a direct download to test. I initially thought the 2nd promo wasn't being applied as MyBB speedtest was not going above 50Mbps, when I was expecting 100Mbps. Then I downloaded a 5.7Gb ISO in under 8 minutes. With speedtest.net however, I was getting 100Mbps.
