Openserve - Afrihost double speed promotion.

Try a direct download to test. I initially thought the 2nd promo wasn't being applied as MyBB speedtest was not going above 50Mbps, when I was expecting 100Mbps. Then I downloaded a 5.7Gb ISO in under 8 minutes. With speedtest.net however, I was getting 100Mbps.
I find the double promo to be hit or miss at times, some tests will be 50Mbps and then when you test again it will be 100Mbps.

I've noticed some weirdness with the mybb test too, especially from our office which uses MTN Business LTE. I'll probably run some tests and post a thread about it in the new year.

Indeed. And a part of me won't be very surprised if they do
It's what they did last year and I was and might still be half expecting it but it's already February now and they haven't said anything.

By when do I need to change my package back to 50/50 to avoid being charged the full rate for 100/100? Or are we still waiting form the email to say we do not want to continue with the higher speed, and, higher price?

I did get a mail from them.
Speeds will automatically be reverted to your original package once the promo has ended.

Just remember there are two promotions running currently, one everyone got and one which required opt in. Are you sure the opt in one reverts automatically?

For the opt-in promo clients needs to submit the downgrade in clientzone before the 21st of Feb

To downgrade from the double up promo, you go connectivity——>edit package and choose your previous package?

Can the same be done on the Afrihost app?

Yes. Open the Afrihost App. Click view on the fibre line in question. Click on Manage package. Click on Change Package and select the previous speed you had before. It will queue the downgrade for the end of February.

Cutting it a bit close considering I've received no emails about this.
