Is anyone else experiencing openserve installation delays in the Bryanston area? Telkom/openserve installed fibre in my area 5 months ago, so I applied via my ISP (axxess) for installation to my house. However 4 months have passed now and openserve has still not contacted me to come do a site visit to connect my house to the fibre installation within the complex. Subsequently I signed-up with MWEB to see if that would resolve the issue. It has been over 45 business days since I applied via MWEB and I still haven't been contacted. Both ISP's tell me that it is out of their control and the delay is sitting with Openserve. Is there any advice on how to escalate this issue with openserve? I can litterally see the fibre box from my bedroom window!

Why not wait for VUMA to finish their install, and get better cheaper fibre from them?

I'm sorry to inform you that you haven't even started waiting yet! Telkom installed the ONT in my home (Garsfontein Pretoria) more than 6 weeks ago and left it with a "Loss of Signal" light flashing.... to their credit they have been back in the area twice that I know of (note sarcasm), but still nothing works. I hear that it is a patching problem; but seriously, patching back to the exchange should take a day at the most. Their service is absolutely atrocious... you can't any get info from their call-centre and the ISP (Axxess) don't really care or are unable to escalate this effectively.... Stick with Carrier Pigeon... it's still faster!
