So what do you think the chances are that OW will accept my un-cancellation?

Very, but I have been a whole lot happier with my Web Africa capped account since moving on! ...go and do the same ;) You will see good internet for a change.

Changing next month, it's time. The Gold Uncapped Power account has not satisfied my needs with regards to gaming. Probably going to move to VOX capped with the uncapped bolt on.

1st rule broken again LOL

I've moved our office account to a business capped account, got a good deal and once again I'm impressed by their customer support. They may not be the most liked ISP around these parts anymore but I can say their customer support has never let me down.

OW has been good last few days. Solid ping to Diablo3 servers, full speed on html. Only torrents are a bit iffy at half the line speed roughly.

To quote MWEB, must be because all the ''ABUSERS'' have cancelled :D:D:D

had full speed downloads on my 4mb gamers king the whole day. 425-460kb/s. best speeds since everybody starting to jump ship...

at this rate I might just stay!

NNTP was completely dead in the water from 19h30 to 23h00; up and down streams were at full steam before and afterwards.
Streaming (Youtube) was constantly buffering during that time as well... even on 144p
Browsing wasn't that noticeably affected, although was slow on some sites.
Scratched it up to my router not attuning with Game of Thrones Linux Distro Monday and switched to my new ISP.
For the most part, the product has been great when compared to the past few months, but it came too late.

The new ISP, which straight out, openly and honestly admitted to having international issues last night, was actually faster.

Food for thought, for those who decided to stay with the good Doctor.

I am an EXISTING client of Openweb and wanted to increase my facility. I was informed that an amount of R2 899-00 was to be paid of which I duly paid immediately. Proof was sent accordingly. It was then confirmed that a pdf format of the payment must be sent. Unfortunately I had already logged out so I made a printout of the last 3 payments to Openweb and sent it again as proof. This is the response I received:

I sincerely apologise for wanting to ensue the money reflects before creating your account.

Unfortunately, OpenWeb is not a registered charity, therefore it is not possible for us to offer complimentary internet access / access without confirm receipt of payment.

I wonder, when you shop at Game, do they allow you to walk out of the shop without ensuring they have received the money for the goods?

We do not offer refunds on our accounts.

Kindly forward us the requested proof of payment so that your pending account can be created."

DISGUSTING!!!
WAITING FOR MY REFUND - due to no goods!
