OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread (Pt2)

I think what they did for so long about account sharing is just fraud and once I saw that myself I just left them and put a stop payment on my account. Never looked back.

The fact they pulled all the reps and failing to reply on the forum cause of what I see as very legit concerns kinda gives a +1 to the whole scandal.....

We simply need IS to confirm what accounts are being resold and what accounts they are for example "star based uncapped account" and then done and dusted Openweb commited fraud by selling a basic account as something its not and selling it to more than one person which I am sure is not allowed by IS.
 
Bloody hell. Seems ow has gone to the dogs. Can't believe there are no roes anymore. Can you imagine how much unsuspecting clients there are. Feel sorry for them.

IS will not confirm anything that will put their client at risk. Remember that Openweb, however scaly they may be, is still a client of IS and bringing them money. IS has a reputation to uphold, and they will protect their own client as far as they can.

As for Openweb retreating from MyBB...well that just proves a point without actually admitting to the truth.

That said, it must be a first for a company to retreat like this from a support channel as popular as MyBB.
 
Cable guy was MrB33ps other alias. This was very evident in the way he spoke to clients/people asking questions he didnt like.

This whole disapearing act just cemented all of the bad press. No more tin hats and conspiracies. An innocent person doesnt flee the country when being labled a suspect in a case. Same goes for here. Self explanatory really..
 
It's a shame they ran away from the forums. It indicates to me that things are either not going to get much better or are about to get much worse.
 
The fact that Keoma ran away, is just a sign, this ship is sinking. You are right, this is no conspiracy theory. I think things got too much for them to handle, and they thought they could pull the wool over people's eyes with the account sharing. Unfortunately they got busted!
I really feel for those of you who are still stuck with OW
 
Does anyone else find it strange that cableguy has been a member of this forum for almost as long as MrBEEP?

The two accounts were registered in 2005 just 2 months apart.
 
Not at all. People have been accusing cableguy of being an Openweb employee for years now. It was a big 'surprise' when after months of inactivity he was suddenly promoted to forum representative.
 
It it really sad that OW selected to withdraw from MyBB. It is clearly a sign that things are going downhill at OW and that they do not want to face the relevant questions posed by the members on this forum. Perhaps we should request them to return via their facebook page ?

In contrast to mweb sticking it out even with Hershaw and calling their customers abusers...
