F*#k that sh]t! I'm not paying almost twice the price than I'm paying for a 2 year old product. Broadband is supposed to be getting cheaper. If I was in the UK I would have already been upgraded to 4mb, 8mb or whatever double your speed was for the same price.

Lol not quite what I was going for but OK. SSung OW are ***. That YOU have to deal with. We have all been there. As for price/performance that is something you will have to decide on and come to terms with.

Don't take this personally, but I hate this ZA attitude that 'you just have to bend over & take it'. Yes, I'll likely have to accept some kind of compromise in the end but it still drives me insane that service providers (in general) in SA have this attitude, and that people just accept it. It's pretty much standard practice overseas for an at least yearly service upgrade or price cut. Here we just have to scrounge out a deal if we don't want end up being ripped off worse than the next guy...and people just accept it.

The capped accounts are fine. Uncapped is always bullsh@t on each and every ISP. Calculate you last 3 months of usage and determine how much you need. I'm saving R200 a month by just changing my behavior.

Disagree. I am very happy with my CW uncapped account so far and I know exactly where I stand with them.

That's ace and I'm happy it's going good on CW. My experience screams different with Afrihost, Axxess, Mweb, Telkom and each and every uncapped offering I tried in the last few months.

Don't get me wrong I completely understand what you are saying and I've also been through the meat grinder with these guys but If I can say nothing else for Shaun and Paul at CW it is that they are open and honest which is something a lot of other ISPs can't attest to themselves.
 
Keep sharing your experiece for us all to decide. Fact for me is shapped working at the moment and i have decent latency on OW after weeks of turmoil at Afrihost.

Well go have a read in the CW thread to see what the general consensus is. OW I will never use again as long as I live. :mad: They have no souls.
 
They used to be good, then turned plain evil and now seem to be doing good with the capped unshaped accounts, what are you doing on the thread if you have a CW account .... :-)

To educate as many people as possible on their ****baggery. I was with them for a long time but since the dr decided to make a run for it after they were "exposed" on the sharing of accounts there still seems to be many people unaware of their antics.
 
Trust me if if get nailed with them I will also rant and rave ...

You probably know all this but when the big sea-change happened at MWEB, and a bunch of us were booted over a few months, everyone was saying: 'Openweb forever!' 'Go with OW!!' 'Openweb got the best hookers!' etc. ...now it's like 4/5 hate them to death. They've been good to me, but there must be a better deal out there...
