Openweb new package progress

Hey Friends,

What a fantastic trip it was.

We discussed some really exciting potential new packages today, and I must honestly say that IS is very open to listening to their customers suggestions.

I know I am going to be slaughtered for this, but until everything is finalised, I unfortunately cannot reveal much about the meeting today.

We are however looking at one particular package that will make MANY people happy!!

I will defenitely keep the forum updated.

Thank you for everyone's support! Hold thumbs!!

Kind regards
MrBEEP

It better be local only + openbrowse 192, Coz that will make me very happy!!!

Thanks for your efforts :)

*sigh* and to think that last year this time we had local uncapped for free.

Thanks alot Telkom *spit*

We will be discussing the options further in the coming week.

I can however say, a Uncapped Local only account is out of IS's reach at the moment, due to the excessive amount of money Telkom charges them to connect to the ADSL ATM (backbone).

But, some other innovative products will help the blow.

Dam Telkom!!!!!! But will IS be able to offer 30gigz local only??? or sumthing along the lines of local????

Local uncapped, would make everyone happy :>>>

Or a huge Local cap would do aswell *60 to 90gig hint hint*

Ok not uncapped but increase the local cap limit, is that a possiblity

The first step would be to get "local only" and then worry about higher caps!

MrBeep,

Got anymore info that could wet our "internet" appetite?????

PLZZZZZZz

I'm guessing it would be a 30 gig local only since it wouldn't be very hard for IS to modify their existing packages and remove the international portion.

Since a 2/28gig account costs about R200, i would say that it should be approx R100 for a 30 gig local only account (working on R50/gig for international).

Take the 30 gig local and add openbrowse 192 and we should have a very reasonably priced package......what you say MrBeep???

Can someone tell me what everyone does with local accounts?

Thanks

Look at local porn...no, it's mostly used for the Newsgroups. The IS newsserver is great.

Besides news servers for residential customers, it could be a great tool for businesses to internconnect with branches, use voip systems between branches etc.
