Combined with our new product OpenBROWSE, that 30GB will be converted into international again.....

lol, let me get this straighy, I can get the:
2GB including 30GB Local Cap: R175 per month

which I can turn into 32GB International ???

Do you have link to this OpenBROWSE product? Care to explain in details, thanks

btw when I click on the 'free open proxy' button on your site it gives me ' The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you'

We will be announcing the OpenBROWSE packages today or tomorrow.

These will be priced differently, because once you are capped, your international traffic will pass through our network.

I have fixed that problem...should work now.

Thanks
MrBEEP

MrBEEP, while throttled to that 64k will i still have access to other protocols other than HTTP, like FTP?

Yes. All protocols will work once throttled.

Thanks
MrBEEP

MrBEEP it would be awesome if you could organize that 1GB account, im sure allot of people would leave dialup to get it

Hey jj,

I am currently looking into it, and will have an answer real soon.

The 1GB will have to be through SAIX though, meaning HARD Cap :(

Ok wait... I go for:

3GB including 30GB Local Cap: R199 per month

This means i get 3GB int'l full speed and 30GB local full speed. After each hit their cap they'll get throttled to 64k?

ps: I like the site! :)

Thats 100% correct! And its not through SAIX, which is a bonus...lol

Try it out for yourself.... check pm

Identical :D

On my 192k line, telkom speed test was the same (tho that might b useless info).. performed the same on ftp local+int'l; irc dcc int'l (connected to irc server faster, but i could b dreaming); dc++ local; http local+int'l (downloaded the same paper from a .edu a bit faster on IS.. but thats probably by chance)

Going to sleep better now, not so many more 1 Nov nightmares

Thanks for the IS test accout MRBEEP.
I asked mrbeep for this account to see how it would compare with my SAIX accounts as I like many of you are dreading the 1st of November and the changes it would bring ie the hardcap.

I use my dsl mainly for gaming and downloads and thought if I were to change from SAIX to IS these to factors would have to work and work well.
Here is the mail I send to him after using the account:

Hi MRBEEP,
First of all are you sure this is an account from IS :-)
I tested the following so far:
Local browsing is super fast. I would say it is on par with all my saix accounts.
International browsing is IMO a little bit slower than SAIX ,but this could be just me as it still seems fast enough.
I was bust downloading an international torrent when you mailed me and the speed I got from SAIX was maxing out my line at 49kb/s on my 384dsl line.
I disconnected from that account to your test account and was downloading the same torrent at my lines max speed ie 49kb/s.
I played battlefield 2 and counter strike both on SAIX SGS servers and got the same ping maybe a little higher but not by much on your test account without lag issues.
I havent tried Skype so I cant comment on that.

So if this is a IS account I would say it mirror pretty much the speed I was getting on my SAIX accounts. I have accounts with WebAfrica and Telkom.
Anyways I would definetly consider an account with openweb and IS if the speeds would be the same.

Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know or tested.

Can I use the account until 10:00 :-))

peace
wisecrack

Unfortunately I dont have that available jj :(
