OPENWEB SERVICE VERY BAD

I'll just leave this here.

Hi Robert,

I hardly think this post is fair.

You only emailed support a few minutes ago with your support issue. It appears as if at the same time you decide to post it on here with all kinds of accusations ?

We identified a problem with your account and immediately issued you with a new account.

I believe it is your intention to rather place damage on OpenWeb's brand, than have the problem resolved, otherwise you would've allowed our support staff to resolve your issue before posting here...

Well sir

I dont normally getting into discussion with any of the ISP'S. And even less on mybroadband simply because i am normally happy with my speeds and then why should i discuss anyway. Secondly i am 53 years old and very literate SIR.Do you think i would phone Openweb customer services and nor know what i am talking about. Thank goodness i dont spend much time on here seems its a mission getting a decent reply from you ouks.

Anyway hope i can return sometime and give or get a better response. Thanks anyway

regards

Robert McColl

yes thats very literate:D

You publically flame an ISP for no reason. What do you expect our response will be?

I know for one that I will at least email my ISP and allow them ample opportunity to fix a problem before posting damaging comments on a public forum that is indexed in Google.

Do you have any idea of how your post can affect an innocent (in this case) companies reputation? The worst thing is, you cannot justify your claims. You think a 384k uncapped account will automatically run at 1Mbps. If this was a test of how literate you are, i'm afraid the results go without saying...

I have said all i can and have mailed Mr Beep to apologise. Maybe just delete this topic. Have edited my first post. One lesson learnt DONT ever voice any opinions on mybroaband.

Strangly enough as we speak now on the Openweb Site they are adveritising the Vanilla 1 meg account for R179.00. I remember it was around R179.00 and they had a one day blitz. of R149.00.I do not expect 2 meg but at least 100 k/sec after hour all the time or when i need it.Or how can you explain that it sometimes runa at 100k/s if its a 384 account My line is only 2 meg and i have an uncapped 2 account from other isp's as per my post. I have been in the internet scene since the dayz of Infosat and am damn sure there is no way i could buy even a fully 24 hour 384 uncapped line from anybody >>>>>>>> I am very sorry that i did not keep any dope on the deasl offered because when i noticed the line speed was crap about 6 weeks ago i actually phoned openweb to find out how to cancel the account because of the crappy speed. The technician infact could not find the account and after 5 dayz i called back insisting they cancel this account. After the next week i called again and the tech guy asked me to try the line again but i still do not have an OPENWEB acount to even be able to view the goings on.

Sorry i even bothered

Contacted : Openweb and was Helped within 20 minutes.

No, by all means, voice opinions. Just make sure they're not backed up by stupid. If you want to scream that OpenWeb is ripping people off, just ensure you do it after you've at least dropped an email to customer support to hear why your account is underperforming.

Thank you Sir

I have mailed Charmaine at support and discussed with her. I think personally the Topic came from me trying to sort this out for s few months now. I even did not use this account in September due to being tired of calling about the poor speeds.

That said i hope i can bury this issue and move on. Sorry if i got uptight .............

I have no issues with Openweb apart from the fact that they have no after hours support, which I found out to my frustration this week. Their online client zone interface is quite shocking as well and gives you very little info or options.

The speeds I get from them is good though, and theyre quick on email replies, then again thats useless if your net is down. Still R200 per month for unshaped 30gb is working for me at the moment.

Sometimes it's better to have no after-hours support that really bad after-hours support.
