Hey Friends,

Due to the Seacom outage, the SAT3 capacity is being used to its limits. Until Seacom is 100% resolved, Platinum account holders will get priority followed by Gold, followed by Standard and then the smaller accounts.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused!

The Seacom cable is currently up and running.

Just a quick reminder to folks with the After Hours Uncapped account. Public Holidays unfortunately do not count as full speed days like weekends do. Just a heads up in case you're wondering!

Makes sense except my After Hours is running at 27kbps and my Gold is running at 64kbps. So what gives?
 
My Gold VB has been very up and down. Are you using the After Hours as comparison or were saying speeds were slow even though it is outside of the "speed" hours?

I have both accounts so I understand the one performing badly given the circumstances but surely not the Gold?

maybe i am missing something, but isn't 27kB/s relatively good speed given that at the time you posted, one would have been expecting the After Hours to be running at 384kbps max?
 
Absolutely correct except that I have a 4mb DSL line and I'm getting 512kb through it on Gold.

Suppose it's the network again.
 
I cant get any decent speeds trough my torrents, You cant do anything with 1kbs >.<.

torrents is for IS backbone , rather go for news server on vb backbone, think that is what most people do.
 
paid News servers is also stuffed on IS Gold - 0KB/s. Maybe they burned the SEACOM landing point in Egypt.

There is currently a backbone fault on our Gold ADSL network.

Engineers are working on repairing the fault as we speak.

I think I have angered MrBeep :(

He isn't replying to my emails anymore . . .
 
Anyone else having issues with direct downloads speeds (Trying to download autocad stuff from the site) and youtube on VB?
