In my opinion, I've read about lots of people that get crap speeds with Astraweb all day long. With Newsdemon using SSL today, I downloaded 14.2GB from about 9am till 6pm at 450KB/s + - all day long on VB :)

Yeah, Mweb users also have issues with Astraweb. Newsdemon seems the best (using SSL) option at the moment across providers.
 
anybody have choppy gameplay in league of legends?

my friend on platinum 4mbs uncapped, and he dc allot and pings is 280ms+, i don't think its fair to pay that amount for that kind of ping :P

It's not due to our internet... LoL servers are choppy and overloaded.
Where is your friend? Cpt area, or Gauteng?
Gauteng 4Mb gives around 230-300ms, 384 Gauteng 280-320 usually (when Seacom was buggy I got 240ms but I reckon we were on SAT3 then maybe?)
Ctn gives a tad better than Gauteng in the above.

If he DC's, it's either due to some internet issue here (very rare), and more often than not it's the LoL servers.

Okay that's weird then. I have seen on the odd occasion that people DC for no reason. But the only time it was ever noticeable for me was with the Seacom issues. Give Mr Beep a nudge and ask to be put on another backbone and see if there's a difference then. That's all I can suggest.

if have 4mp+ line what you do it do speedtest to server that has short time for download(aka vodacom jhb) it will give you better results than the one doing it for long time(webafrica).

because shortime it spikes higher on 4mb account.

I honestly don't think it matters.

It usually has ups and downs. Today though, it's just down all around.
 
what account is that? pretty bad speedtest for 4mb account?

the spike high speedtest you need decent 6mb line+ and account everything must work , then you get highish speedtests.

best i got was 1mb on 512k line :P
 
oh ok so when account is working it should get 3.5mps on speedtest, so you wont get speeds stonecold gets :)

but it seems it is not working as 2 users has reported slow speed, best just contact mrbeep.
