Hi Mr Beep, by suggestion by so many users in the forum, i finally just signed with your gold uncapped 4m adsl account, tested with speedtest.net, the speed from all local 3 jhb server all showed not more than 0.4m, but with my telkom account i can get full 3.6m, are there any mistakes? if it is continuous, i want to cancel it now.

No, Gold ALWAYS runs amazing, with the exception of backbone issues which occur on the odd occasion.

Try resetting your router.
What backbone are you on?
My IS was dreadfully slow this morning. I did a router reboot and 20 minutes later it was working fine again.

I was wondering if anyone gets consistent/stable speeds on any of the Gold backbones? On my VB account it drops to 1Mbps for a good while before switching up to 4Mbps speeds and even then it bounces a lot before slowing down again. I've been monitoring it, I think VB just has an issue with my spot in the world for some reason because on any other account the speeds are a constant 400kB/s+.

I'm not really keen on switching to the IS backbone (it really doesn't seem to like Skype--which is very important to me--and browsing simultaneously). Wonder if I should bother MrBEEP with this

VB is worse. Torrents are permanently (and heavily) shaped

IS gold is not that bad torrents run nice just news service is a bit erratic though
