@ amarjits what part of Durban are you from as I'm on the same Gold 1024k [PLUS]

I have given up and cancelled. ADSL in general is the pits Durban.

Next is to cancel my Telkom line

Going to spend the money on 3 x 8ta 10G or cell C which I use now via my HTC Desire.

Will spend the money on a USB router.

Sommer a k@k start to the weekend.
 
I had slow speeds yesterday and today. Emailed Keoma this morning and five minutes later he has fixed the problem for me. Getting 410kb/s now on NNTP :)

the speeds were very bad in the morning...mr. Beep sorted it somehow...getting better speeds...but not exactly what openweb is known to offer.
 
Speed has dropped again for me. Rift update of 900MB is so far taking 2 hours and it estimates another 2 hours remaining. My 4m not running well at all atm.

Speed dropped some more, now getting about 10kb/s. Sent a mail now to Keoma to see what can be done.

Seems the issue sorted itself. Getting good speeds again.

Seems my problem yesterday was the exchange. Adsl died last night as well as voice and could not even get internet on my cell phone. Phoned Telkom and they said the exchange was down. Seems to be fixed this morning. Now for a weekend of Rifts...
 
Hmm, getting 2kb/s on HTTP downloads but NNTP is flying at 380kb/s. Strange
 
I know I have to email and all that..... but what the hell is going on????

This is on 384kbps standard.

RANT: One thing I've learnt is that there is NO difference between ISPs..... They are all the same. I will never pay attention to the stupid Telkom vs Cybersmart vs Openweb vs Mweb vs Axxess vs... threads again. They are all equally *****.

Anyone playing online games with openweb? What is the best account for playing WOW ? Std, unshaped or gold ? I'm looking at the 1mb gold uncapped for R398. I currently have 384 Std-uncapped and very happy just not sure WOW will work well on it.

On Gold IS and VB I get around 400-600, nothing great. I would go for unshaped if you want decent latencies.

There was a Telkom backbone fault causing a slowdown last night. I do apologize.

If your problem is ongoing, please email me and I will investigate.
