1Mb uncapped Gold account performance

Here we go. Day one on my new Openweb 1mb Gold uncapped.

Pings to local network: Av 335
Local download speed: 0.47mbs
Packet loss : 20 - 40% at various nodes

That seems to be the best part. At first could not open the Openweb website to see what is up...

Here we go... troll alert.

I have two 1mb accounts, Gold of course, which are running at around 1.8Mbps each ;p

ijack, what do you mean when you say you have a 1024 kbps account that runs at a downstream (download) rate of 230 KB/s?

Perhaps you want to revise those figures... or am I missing something here? Not really my field of expertise... :)

Same problem, tried another IS account and had the same issue. Tried with my WebAfrica account and things are fine. IS Network maybe?

I'm having steam problems this morning. I'm trying to play the Binding of Isaac, so of course there is an update to install but I cant seem to download it. I'm getting "The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request, please try again in a few minutes."

The thing is it doesnt matter which server I set as my content server. I've even tried setting London as my content server, and that doesnt work. Ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like I had Steamwatch enabled and that was causing problems.

I am glad the network is better again this morning.

Had to stop playing LFD2 at around 12 last night as the international and local access became unstable.
Steam also refused to connect again.

Praise time :D

Just wanna says thanks to Keoma and the Xperts here (you know who you are) for all the help last month. It took merely a week to get me on a stable backbone and managed 550GB on my 4MB line. No warnings whatsoever. :)

Top notch service.

/+Rep to Keoma :)

My international is only running at 160 kB/s on my News Servers on my 4 mbps ADSL using OpenWeb.

It normally runs at 420 kB/s.

Definitely something weird. :(

right can I get some feedback from openweb here please??

Im getting 900ms latency when I normally get 300 on HoN.

Whats going on?

I don't know what to do anymore. Can't play online at all anymore. Latencies keep spiking. Telkom says there are no problems. There are no problems on Openweb. Ive tried my other accounts but they are all IS and behave the same. Why the hell are we paying so much for the internet if nothing works?
